Invisi Billy Arrival - Llegada

We've already come to the penultimate arrival of our Monster High dolls. This time I introduce you Invisi Billy, son of the Invisible man.

When I saw this doll for the first time, attracted my attention because... it's all so blue! Blue is my favourite colour and I love the design of this doll. I haven't seen this doll in Spain yet, so as I wanted it and didn't want to pay an exorbitant price for it if I'd find it in a toyshop (I think it's excessive the price that MH boys have), I searched for it on-line and felt hopeless until I finally found it on Amazon.co.uk at a reasonable price because I refused to pay more than 30€ for a plastic doll. Fortunately I managed to find it for 25,74€ ,shipping included, which is a reasonable price as it's what these dolls cost around here. Yes, I know they profit with these prices when these dolls can be sold for 15-20€ and knowing that we have purchased dolls for that price because they were reduced, but we know that when something is successful, they have to get a piece of it.

And here I introduce you my new boy, who is keeping the name of Billy but not the character:

Ya hemos llegado a la penúltima llegada de nuestros muñecos Monster High. En esta ocasión os presento a Invisi Billy, hijo del hombre invisible.

Cuando vi por primera vez este muñeco me llamó muchísimo la atención... ¡por ser todo tan azul! El azul es mi color favorito y el diseño de este personaje me encanta. En España no he visto aún este muñeco, así que antes de quedarme con las ganas de tenerlo y pagar un dineral por él si lo encontraba en alguna tienda (me parecen abusivos los precios que les ponen a los MH chicos), rebusqué por Internet y me desesperé hasta que finalmente lo encontré en Amazon.co.uk a un precio razonable ya que me negaba a pagar más de 30€ por un muñeco de plástico. Afortunadamente logré encontrarlo por 25,74€ incluyendo gastos de envío, precio más que razonable ya que es lo que suelen costar estas muñecas por aquí. Sí, sé que se aprovechan con estos precios cuando podrían venderlas perfectamente por 15-20€ y más sabiendo que recientemente hemos comprado muñecas por ese precio al estar rebajadas, pero ya sabemos que cuando algo tiene éxito, tienen que sacar tajada de ello.

Y aquí os presento a mi nuevo chico, que conservará el nombre de Billy pero no el personaje:

As you can see, the box has the text in English, therefore I have the American edition. And apparently, the box has had a hard travel as a flap came out and was somewhat bent, but these are details I don't care at all. 

Como podéis comprobar, esta caja tiene todo el texto en inglés, por lo tanto, tengo la edición estadounidense. Y por lo visto, la caja tuvo bastante ajetreo en su viaje ya que se salió una solapa y quedó algo doblada, aunque estos son detalles que no me importan lo más mínimo.

We have Billy out of the box. The doll is beautiful and although I have purchased it without having previously seen it, I wasn't disappointed.

Ya tenemos a Billy fuera de la caja. El muñeco me pareció muy bonito y a pesar de que lo compré sin haberlo visto previamente, no me decepcionó.

He doesn't have many accessories, although he wears a watch (hour is marked) bracelets, a belt, necklace, some sort of transversal backpack with storage pockets and a folder. His beanie was sewn in the head, so as I'm going to wash his hair because has it completely matted (I don't understand this bad habit to apply as much hair lotion on the hair of these dolls), I unstitched it and so I'll put him on when I want.

No tiene muchos accesorios, aunque sí lleva reloj (tiene marcada la hora y todo), pulseras, cinturón, collar, esa especie de bandolera con bolsillos para guardar cosas y una carpeta. Su gorro estaba cosido en la cabeza, así que como le voy a lavar el pelo porque lo tiene completamente apelmazado (no entiendo la manía que tienen de untar el pelo de estos muñecos con tanta gomina), se lo descosí y así se lo pondré cuando quiera.

It seems that the guy was in a hurry to get home, one of his shoes was almost lost. It seems he knew his new home was full of girls... he's not a silly boy. 

Parece que el chico tenía prisa por llegar a casa, uno de sus zapatos estaba casi suelto. Parece que sabía que su nuevo hogar estaba lleno de chicas... tonto no es. 

The box included a base, Invisi Billy's diary (in English, which I don't mind since I can read it without problem) and a brush with that matted hair is impossible to comb. I forgot to add the folder for the photo.

And I had a small accident with Billy:

En la caja incluía la peana, el diario de Invisi Billy (completamente en inglés, cosa que no me importa ya que puedo leerlo sin problema) y su peine que con el pelo tan apelmazado que tiene es imposible de peinar. Se me olvidó poner la carpeta en la foto. 

Y tuve un pequeño percance con Billy:

His legs are made of transparent plastic and are partially painted. Because of a small rubbing, some paint peeled off. Fortunately was in the back of one of his legs and I could hide the chipping painting on. I tried to get the most similar colour and if ever this defect is visible in a photo, I can edit that small part with Photoshop, although as is a very small area and it's painted, maybe won't be necessary to edit.

Sus piernas, al ser de plástico transparente están parcialmente pintadas y por un pequeño roce saltó un poco de pintura. Afortunadamente fue en la parte de atrás de una de sus piernas y pude disimular el desconche pintando encima. Intenté conseguir el color más parecido posible y si alguna vez se ve el defecto en alguna foto, podré retocar esa mínima parte con Photoshop, aunque al ser una zona tan pequeña y además pintada, puede que ni sea necesario retocar.

And as you have seen, if you have noticed, I have changed the blog header to make it more in keeping with the current theme of the blog, BJDs and Monster High. The photo of Billy that I've used it was expressly taken to make the new header.
