Last Sunday was the #proBJDartistsDay so even though I'm not currently into the hobby in a participatory way, I wanted to support the BJDs artists. I'm not very aware of what happens in the hobby, but I do know that recast is still a very serious problem.

This year I took the photo with Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy') and Maiko (Dollzone 'Yage'), the first two BJDs that came home 10 years ago.

El pasado domingo fue el #proBJDartistsDay así que a pesar de que actualmente no estoy dentro del hobby de forma participativa, quise apoyar a los artistas de BJDs. No estoy muy al tanto de lo que pasa en el hobby, pero sí sé que el recast sigue siendo un problema muy grave.

Este año he hecho la foto con Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy') y Maiko (Dollzone 'Yage'), los dos primeros BJDs que entraron en casa hace ya 10 años.

9th Anniversary of Toshi · 9º Aniversario de Toshi

Today Toshi has turned 9 years old. It's amazing how much time has passed since he got home.

For his anniversary I have taken some photos and although they are repetitive, I hope you enjoy them.

Another year I join the cause and support the BJD artists in this way. I know that I always say the same, but it's shameful that each year we have to be doing this tribute and try to make people aware of the negative that recast is.

This year I have taken the photo with Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy'), Danielle (Dollzone 'Clovera') y Shun (Angel of Dream 'Hao').

Otro año me sumo a la causa y apoyar de esta manera a los artistas de BJDs. Sé que siempre digo lo mismo, pero es vergonzoso que cada año tengamos que estar haciendo este homenaje e intentar concienciar a la gente lo negativo que es el recast.

Este año he hecho la foto con Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy'), Danielle (Dollzone 'Clovera') y Shun (Angel of Dream 'Hao').

Another year has ended to start a new one. And here you have me from the first day to wish you all a happy new year. I hope this 2018 comes with many pleasant surprises for everyone.

Toshi 8th anniversary · 8º aniversario de Toshi

Yesterday Toshi turned 8 years old and as today  Simba, my dog, turns 16 I've decided to take a photo of them together to celebrate it.

Ayer Toshi cumplió 8 años y como hoy Simba, mi perro, cumple 16 años he decidido hacerles una foto juntos para celebrarlo.

I had forgotten some photos that I took in early June. I wanted to do a photo shoot of my rebel couple, Danielle and Toshi. The photos are somewhat repetitive, but I hope you enjoy them anyway. 

Ya tenía olvidadas unas fotos que hice a principios de Junio. Me apeteció hacer una sesión de mi parejita rebelde, Danielle y Toshi. Las fotos son algo repetitivas, aún así espero que las disfrutéis.

Word: Friendship.

Comment: I had this game completely forgotten! The last photo I took for this game was in 2013, so after all these years, I come back with it and thus I "force myself" to take photos of my BJDs.

The photograph is expressly taken for the game and in it we can see the close friendship between Maiko, Shun, Danielle, Toshi and Byron. It was somewhat complicated to get the pose of the dolls because Byron and Toshi refused to hold hands 😆

The concept of photography came to my mind suddenly and I took the photo about half an hour before I went to work.

Comentario: ¡Tenía este juego completamente olvidado! La última foto que hice para este juego fue en 2013, así que después de todos estos años, vuelvo a la carga con ello y así me "obligo" a hacer fotos a los BJD.

La fotografía está hecha expresamente para el juego y en ella podemos ver la estrecha amistad entre Maiko, Shun, Danielle, Toshi y Byron. Fue algo complicado conseguir la pose de los muñecos ya que Byron y Toshi se negaban a cogerse de la mano 😆

El concepto de la fotografía se me ocurrió de repente e hice la foto como media hora antes de irme a trabajar.

Toshi 7th Anniversary · 7º Aniversario de Toshi

On November 26th Toshi turned 7 years old. As a tradition, I took some photos of him to celebrate that special day.

El día 26 de Noviembre Toshi cumplió 7 añitos. Como tradición, le hice unas fotos para celebrar ese día tan especial.

Shirley, a Charles' Creature Cabinet 'Batty Boo Pink',  was incorporated in the BJDs family last June. At this time I have been taking photos of her with the rest of the family, so she has met them and I have finally took the latest photos.

Let's see what impressions she has of each of them.

En Junio se incorporó a la familia de BJD's Shirley, una 'Batty Boo' rosa de Charles' Creature Cabinet. En este tiempo he ido haciendo fotos de ella con el resto de la familia para que se vayan conociendo y por fin terminé con las últimas fotos.

Toshi 6th Anniversary · 6º aniversario de Toshi

Last 26th November was the 6th anniversary of Toshi. I completely forgot his birthday because I was busy with issues of the dog grooming course that I am attending and when I remembered, it had already passed more than a week. But better late than never, I decided to take photos of Toshi for his anniversary anyway.

El pasado 26 de Noviembre fue el 6º aniversario de Toshi. Olvidé completamente su cumpleaños porque estuve atareada con temas del curso al que estoy asistiendo de peluquería canina y cuando me acordé, ya había pasado más de una semana. Pero como mejor tarde que nunca, he decidido hacer igualmente fotos de Toshi por su aniversario.

Halloween 2015

We're at that time of year that I love, Halloween! Although this year nearly I don't take photos for lack of motivation. It turns out last October 6th my paternal grandfather died and we are now in mourning. We visited him every week and in recent months he was ill, so now miss that weekly visit. Still, life goes on for those who are here and finally I found motivation for the Halloween shots this year. I was inspired by old photographs in black and white, I think they have a special magic that colour photographs lack. Also I have aged them with Photoshop, you'll see that I used two ways to do it.

Then I show you the pictures I've taken of our BJDs.

Ya estamos en esa época del año que tanto me gusta, ¡Halloween! Aunque este año por poco no hago fotografías por falta de motivación. Resulta que el pasado 6 de Octubre falleció mi abuelo paterno y ahora estamos con el duelo. Iba a visitarle todas las semanas y en los últimos meses había dado un bajón bastante importante, así que ahora se echa en falta el no ir a hacerle la visita semanal. Aún así, la vida sigue para los que estamos aquí y finalmente encontré motivación para la sesión de Halloween de este año. Me he inspirado en las fotografías antiguas en blanco y negro, que pienso que tienen una magia especial que las fotografías en color carecen. También las he envejecido con Photoshop, veréis que utilicé dos formas de hacerlo.

In the last months I have uploaded shoots of Toshi to participate in the contest "Miss & Mister Café Articulado 2014" on a Spanish forum. The contest has finished and finally I can give you the results for Toshi.

The contest was made in three rounds of one month each one whose themes were "Sporty", "Elegant" and "Urban Tribes". Below you can see with which photos I participated and the number of votes they got (click on the captures for a better view):

En los últimos meses subí sesiones de Toshi para participar en el concurso del Café Articulado "Miss & Mister Café Articulado 2014". El concurso ya acabó y por fin os puedo dar los resultados de Toshi.

En el concurso hubo tres rondas de un mes de duración cada una cuyos temas fueron "Deportivo", "Elegante" y "Tribus Urbanas". A continuación podéis ver con qué fotos participé y el número de votos que consiguieron (pinchad en las capturas para verlas en grande):

Visual Punk boy

The contest "Miss & Mister Café Articulado 2014" ends. For this 3rd and final round the subject is "Urban tribes". As you know, Toshi belongs to the tribe Visual Kei (more specifically, the branch Visual Punk), a style in which daring and colourful hairstyles are combined, accentuated make-up even for boys and an aesthetic in what stands out originality. This tribe is totally linked to music, that's why Toshi appears with his electric guitar and speakers.

Believe it or not, the boy is very vain. He needs an hour to fix his hair and chooses his clothes and accessories carefully.

El concurso "Miss & Mister Café Articulado 2014" ya llega a su fin. En esta 3ª y última ronda el tema es "Tribus urbanas". Como ya sabéis, Toshi pertenece a la tribu Visual Kei (en más concreto, la rama Visual Punk), un estilo en el que se combinan los peinados atrevidos y de colores, maquillaje acentuado incluso en chicos y una estética en lo que destaca es la originalidad. Ésta tribu está completamente vinculada a la música, de ahí a que Toshi aparezca con su guitarra eléctrica y unos altavoces. 

Aunque no lo parezca, el chico es muy presumido. Es de los que se tiran una hora para arreglarse el pelo y elige su ropa y accesorios minuciosamente.

Birthday Party (Toshi - 5th Anniversary) · Fiesta de cumpleaños (Toshi - 5º Aniversario)

On November 26th was the 5th anniversary of Toshi and as I'm participating with him in the game "Miss & Mister Café Articulado" in a Spanish forum, I had the idea to make a shoot about his birthday party and use one of those pics for the second round, "Elegant". I hope this time will be better for him than the first round, "Sporty", because he had two votes only. The truth is that the photos that had more votes were great, but I thought that Toshi would have more votes than he had because of the difficulty of a doll standing on a skate. Anyway this is about having fun and is a game.

Without further ado, I show you the photos of Toshi for his 5th anniversary.

El día 26 de Noviembre fue el 5º cumpleaños de Toshi y aprovechando que estoy participando en el juego "Miss & Mister Café Articulado 2014" con Toshi, se me ocurrió hacerle una sesión sobre su fiesta de cumpleaños y utilizar una de esas fotos para la segunda ronda, "Elegante". Espero que esta vez le vaya mejor que con la primera ronda, "Deportivo", ya que tan solo tuvo dos votos. La verdad es que las fotos que más votos obtuvieron estaban geniales, aunque pensé que Toshi se llevaría algún voto más por la complicación del muñeco subido en un monopatín. De todas formas esto se trata de pasárselo bien y es un juego.

Sin más, os enseño las fotos de Toshi por su 5º cumpleaños.

Sun 16 November "I support BJD artist" day · Dom 16 Noviembre Día "Apoyo a los artistas BJD"

Recast is killing the hobby, as simple as that. Why? I read that Lillycat has been a victim of recast, being her mold Constantine the recasted doll. Are you seeing what this means? Another artist who spends a lot of hours, days and even weeks to sculpt one of her dolls, has been a victim of recast. Prorecast has contributed to this theft and Lillycat may feel sad and wondering why people can be as fake and prefer to purchase a non legit doll instead of hers, who's who deserves it because she's the sculptor, not Luo Lugui, who is enriched at the expence of the work of others who HAVE worked. A few months ago I wrote a post to say why I don't and will never support recast.

Yesterday I saw in flickr something very interesting to support BJD artists. All you have to do today, Sunday 16th November, is to take a photo of one of your doll with a supportive message, submit it everywhere: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, with the tag: #proBjdArtists

I want to give a big hug to saskha for this great idea.

I thought I wouldn't be in time to participate, but here are two pics of our dolls supporting BJD artists. All our BJDs, Chinese and Korean, are legit and we (my mother and me) are proud to have saved for months and/or years to purchase them.

El recast está matando el hobby, tan simple como eso. ¿Por qué? He leído que Lillycat ha sido víctima del recast, siendo su molde Constantine la muñeca recasteada. ¿Sabéis lo que significa esto? Otra artista que se ha pasado horas, días e incluso semanas para esculpir una de sus muñecas, ha sido víctima del recast. Pro-recast ha contribuido a este robo y Lillycat se debe sentir mal y preguntándose porqué la gente es tan falsa que prefiere comprar un muñeco no legítimo en lugar del suyo, que es quien se lo merece por ser la escultora, no Luo Ligui, que se enriquece a costa del trabajo de otras personas que SÍ se han esforzado. Hace unos meses escribí una entrada para explicar porqué no estoy ni estaré a favor del recast.

Ayer vi en flickr algo muy interesante para apoyar a los artistas de BJDs. Lo que hay que hacer hoy, Domingo 16 de Noviembre, es hacer una foto a uno de tus muñecos con un mensaje de apoyo y subirlo a todas partes: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, con el tag: #proBjdArtists

Quiero darle un abrazo enorme a saskha por esta gran idea.

Pensé que no me daría tiempo participar, pero aquí están las dos fotos que he hecho de nuestros muñecos apoyando a los artistas de BJDs. Todos nuestros BJD, chinos y coreanos, son legítimos y nosotras (mi madre y yo) estamos orgullosas de haber ahorrado durante meses y/o años para comprarlos.

In the "Café Articulado" forum is currently a challenge called "Miss & Mister Café Articulado 2014", so I registered Toshi for the male category. Every months there's a challenge and the first has been "Sporty". At first I didn't know what to do because Toshi doesn't like sports. Anyway I managed to complete the challenge and without intending to, I made it in two different shoots. This is the first thing that came to mind:

En el foro "Café Articulado" se está celebrando actualmente el juego "Miss & Mister Café Articulado", así que apunté a Toshi en la categoría masculina. Hay un reto por mes y el primero ha sido "Deportivo". En un principio no sabía qué hacer ya que a Toshi no le gusta el deporte. De todas formas me las ingenié para conseguir el reto y sin proponérmelo, lo hice en dos partes, saliendo dos sesiones diferentes. Esto fue lo primero que se me ocurrió: 

Mint & Chocolate Summer · Verano con sabor a menta y chocolate

After so many "Monster High" dolls arrivals, finally I give a break and show you photos of my BJDs Danielle and Toshi that I took for a challenge on the Spanish forum "Café Articulado". The topic was "Summer", so I had an idea right away about what I wanted to do, but everything went wrong and photos thartoriginally were to be taken outside, had to be taken indoors, having to change everything that I had planned. At least I used an accessory that I customized for the shoot.

Después de tantas llegadas de muñecos "Monster High", por fin doy un respiro y os enseño unas fotos de mis BJDs Danielle y Toshi que hice para un reto del foro "Café Articulado". El tema era "Verano", así que enseguida tuve una idea sobre lo que quería hacer, aunque todo se me torció y las fotos que en un principio iban a ser en exterior, tuvieron que ser en interior, teniendo que cambiar todo lo que tenía pensado. Al menos sí pude utilizar un accesorio que customicé para la sesión.

Adventurer's Club - July: Travel Case

I have finally taken the photos for the Adventurer's Club challenge. Like last month, I knew exactly what to do for this challenge, "Travel Case". , but between one thing and another, I haven't been able to take these photos until almost the last moment.

So for this challenge I'm going to show you how I carry my dolls when I take the very few photos outside.

Por fin he hecho las fotos para el reto del Adventurer's Club. Como el mes pasado, sabía perfectamente qué hacer para este reto, "Travel Case" (Maleta de viaje), pero entre unas cosas y otras, no pude hacer las fotos hasta casi el último momento.

Pues para este reto os voy a enseñar cómo transporto a mis muñecos cuando hago las escasísimas fotos en exterior.
