Last Sunday was the #proBJDartistsDay so even though I'm not currently into the hobby in a participatory way, I wanted to support the BJDs artists. I'm not very aware of what happens in the hobby, but I do know that recast is still a very serious problem.

This year I took the photo with Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy') and Maiko (Dollzone 'Yage'), the first two BJDs that came home 10 years ago.

El pasado domingo fue el #proBJDartistsDay así que a pesar de que actualmente no estoy dentro del hobby de forma participativa, quise apoyar a los artistas de BJDs. No estoy muy al tanto de lo que pasa en el hobby, pero sí sé que el recast sigue siendo un problema muy grave.

Este año he hecho la foto con Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy') y Maiko (Dollzone 'Yage'), los dos primeros BJDs que entraron en casa hace ya 10 años.

Otro año me sumo a la causa y apoyar de esta manera a los artistas de BJDs. Sé que siempre digo lo mismo, pero es vergonzoso que cada año tengamos que estar haciendo este homenaje e intentar concienciar a la gente lo negativo que es el recast.

Este año he hecho la foto con Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy'), Danielle (Dollzone 'Clovera') y Shun (Angel of Dream 'Hao').

Es vergonzoso que cada año tengamos que estar haciendo esta especie de homenaje e intentar concienciar a la gente lo negativo que es el recast. En esta ocasión, he elegido a Akane y Hiroki porque hecho de menos a Dream of Doll, que cerró hace un año.

ProBJD Artists day 2016

Here comes the third edition of the "BJD artist support day". Like every year, I wanted to participate to give my support to all those artists that make it possible to keep the hobby alive thanks to their effort and work, thanks to them we can enjoy their dolls, no matter how popular the company is or the place of origin. But let's not forget that support has to be given day by day.

This year the protagonist of the photo is Shirley, my Charles' Creature Cabinet 'Batty Boo Pink'.

Ya vamos por la tercera edición del "día del apoyo a los artistas BJD". Como cada año, he querido participar para darle mi apoyo a todos esos artistas que hacen posible que el hobby siga vivo gracias a su esfuerzo y trabajo, gracias a ellos podemos disfrutar de sus muñecas, independientemente de lo popular que sea la casa o su lugar de procedencia. Pero no olvidemos que el apoyo hay que darlo día a día.

Este año la protagonista de la foto es Shirley, mi 'Batty Boo Pink' de Charles' Creature Cabinet.

Pro BJD Artists day 2015

Last Sunday was celebrated the "support BJD artist day". As you know, I'm totally anti-recast and I think is ok if this event is celebrated every year to support original artists.

As I couldn't upload the photo in time to support this cause, I do it today.

El pasado domingo se celebró el "día del apoyo a los artistas BJD". Como ya sabéis, soy completamente anti-recast y me parece bien que este día para apoyar a los artistas originales se celebre cada año.

Como no pude subir la foto a tiempo para apoyar esta causa, la subo hoy.

Although Halloween has passed, here I come with a "related" entry.

Recast is killing the hobby, as simple as that. Why? I read that Lillycat has been a victim of recast, being her mold Constantine the recasted doll. Are you seeing what this means? Another artist who spends a lot of hours, days and even weeks to sculpt one of her dolls, has been a victim of recast. Prorecast has contributed to this theft and Lillycat may feel sad and wondering why people can be as fake and prefer to purchase a non legit doll instead of hers, who's who deserves it because she's the sculptor, not Luo Lugui, who is enriched at the expence of the work of others who HAVE worked. A few months ago I wrote a post to say why I don't and will never support recast.

Yesterday I saw in flickr something very interesting to support BJD artists. All you have to do today, Sunday 16th November, is to take a photo of one of your doll with a supportive message, submit it everywhere: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, with the tag: #proBjdArtists

I want to give a big hug to saskha for this great idea.

I thought I wouldn't be in time to participate, but here are two pics of our dolls supporting BJD artists. All our BJDs, Chinese and Korean, are legit and we (my mother and me) are proud to have saved for months and/or years to purchase them.

El recast está matando el hobby, tan simple como eso. ¿Por qué? He leído que Lillycat ha sido víctima del recast, siendo su molde Constantine la muñeca recasteada. ¿Sabéis lo que significa esto? Otra artista que se ha pasado horas, días e incluso semanas para esculpir una de sus muñecas, ha sido víctima del recast. Pro-recast ha contribuido a este robo y Lillycat se debe sentir mal y preguntándose porqué la gente es tan falsa que prefiere comprar un muñeco no legítimo en lugar del suyo, que es quien se lo merece por ser la escultora, no Luo Ligui, que se enriquece a costa del trabajo de otras personas que SÍ se han esforzado. Hace unos meses escribí una entrada para explicar porqué no estoy ni estaré a favor del recast.

Ayer vi en flickr algo muy interesante para apoyar a los artistas de BJDs. Lo que hay que hacer hoy, Domingo 16 de Noviembre, es hacer una foto a uno de tus muñecos con un mensaje de apoyo y subirlo a todas partes: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, con el tag: #proBjdArtists

Quiero darle un abrazo enorme a saskha por esta gran idea.

Pensé que no me daría tiempo participar, pero aquí están las dos fotos que he hecho de nuestros muñecos apoyando a los artistas de BJDs. Todos nuestros BJD, chinos y coreanos, son legítimos y nosotras (mi madre y yo) estamos orgullosas de haber ahorrado durante meses y/o años para comprarlos. 

Adventurer's Club - June: Your own backyard

I have finally taken the photos for the Adventurer's Club challenge. I knew exactly what to do for the challenge of this month, "Your own backyard", but between one thing and another, I haven't been able to take these photos until almost the last moment.

Por fin he hecho las fotos para el reto del Adventurer's Club. Sabía perfectamente qué hacer para el reto de este mes, "Your own backyard" (Tu propio patio trasero), pero entre unas cosas y otras, no pude hacer las fotos hasta casi el último momento.

As I live in an apartment, I don't have an interesting backyard because it's a small balcony. Anyway, Daisuke knows how to take advantage of this support to put a planter that we don't use for millennia. The kid had a great time climbing there XD

Como vivo en un piso, no tengo un patio muy interesante ya que es un pequeño balcón. Aún así, Daisuke sabe cómo sacarle provecho con ese soporte para poner una jardinera que no usamos desde hace milenios. El crío se lo pasó en grande subiéndose ahí XD

Adventurer's Club - May: Someplace Scary

I couldn't think of any good idea for the "Adverturer Club", whose challenge for May is "Someplace Scary". Finally an idea came on mind and I took the photo.

No se me ocurría ninguna idea buena para el "Adventurer's Club" cuyo reto del mes de Mayo es "Un lugar aterrador". Finalmente una idea vino a mi cabeza y tomé la foto.

Is there anything scariest than being locked in a cage, surrounded by huge poisonous spiders and see the fate that awaits you is death? Well, maybe I went too far... XD

PS: Don't worry, Sam and Dean are in perfect condition and managed to go out the cage.

¿Hay algo más aterrador que estar encerrado en una jaula, rodeado de enormes arañas venenosas y ver que el destino que te espera es el de la muerte? Quizá me he pasado... XD

Adventurer's Club - April: Exotic animal

Today I'm coming with photos of Nina, my Draculaura. Yes, the doll finally has a name. The reason for this name is very simple: it was the first name that crossed my mind. Later I realized that "nina" means "doll" in Catalonian, so in a way is funny XD

These photos are for the "Adventurer's Club", whose challenge for April is "Exotic animal". The poor little seal is a bit dirty but on second thought, animals aren't very clean and that gives is some realist, lol.

Hoy vengo con fotos de Nina, mi Draculaura. Sí, la muñeca finalmente tiene nombre. El porqué de este nombre es bien simple: fue el primer nombre que se me pasó por la cabeza. Luego me di cuenta de que "nina" significa "muñeca" en catalán, así que en cierto modo tiene hasta gracia XD

Estas fotos son para el "Adventurer's Club" cuyo reto del mes de abril es "Animal exótico". La pobre foquita está poco sucia aunque pensándolo bien, muy limpios no es que estén los animales y eso le da algo de realismo, jajaja.

Adventurer's Club - March Wilderness

I almost forget the the "Adventurer's Club" challange! So instead of the promised shoot of Shun, I'm going to upload a pic for this challenge. Sorry! TT____TT

The subject for March is "Wilderness", so I have choosen Wendy (Clawdeen Wolf - Wonder Wolf) and I have taken a photo of her clambering among the giant sunflowers.

¡Por poco me olvido del reto del "Adventurer's Club"! Así que en lugar de la prometida sesión de Shun, en su lugar subo una foto para el reto. ¡Lo siento! TT____TT

El tema para el mes de marzo es "Wilderness" (jungla), así que he cogido a Wendy (Clawdeen Wolf - Wonder Wolf -Super Loba-) y le he hecho una foto trepando entre los girasoles gigantes.

My next post will be the shoot of Shun with his new shirt and vest. Half of the shoot is already done, now I need to finish the second part, lol. And I have also thought about a completed shoot of Wendy, I want to take photos of Toshi because I haven't taken any for a long time, also I want to take a shoot of the three SD boys, another of the two SD girls... As you see, I don't lack ideas and I will upload all these shoots according I take them.

Mi siguiente entrada sí será la mencionada sesión de Shun con su camisa y chaleco nuevos. Ya tengo mitad de la sesión hecha, ahora me falta la segunda parte, lol. Y también se me ha ocurrido una sesión completa con Wendy, quiero hacerle fotos a Toshi, que hace tiempo que no le hago ninguna sesión, también quiero hacer otra sesión con los tres chicos SD, otra de las dos chicas SD... Vamos, que ideas no me faltan y ya iré subiendo todas esas sesiones según las vaya terminando.

Sibling love · Amor de hermanos

Today I'm coming with photos of Danielle and her brother Shun. I know by their names and appearance nobody would say they're siblings, but like everything, has its explanation and you can check it in their profiles.

The reason why I've taken this shoot is for the "Oblígame" (Force me) game at a Spanish forum, where users can ask you what kind of photos they'd like to see of your doll family. One of the members has asked me for photos of Shun with his sister Danielle, so two months later, here's the shoot.

As usual, I've had trouble with lighting, no way to learn to use it properly, and no, I couldn't take photos indoors with natural light because I'm living in an apartment in which barely have natural light. Fortunately, pics are more or less beautiful and I hope you like them.

Esta vez vengo con fotos de Danielle y su hermano Shun. Ya sé que por el nombre y aspecto nadie diría que son hermanos, pero como en todo, tiene su explicación y podéis comprobarlo en sus perfiles.

El motivo de esta sesión es por un juego del Café Articulado llamado "Oblígame" ya podéis dejarme vuestras peticiones si queréis, en el que los usuarios te pueden pedir qué fotos les gustaría ver de tu familia resinil. Torako me dejó un comentario en el que quería ver fotos de Shun con su hermana Danielle y tras un par de meses, aquí está la sesión. 

Para variar, he tenido problemas de iluminación, no hay manera de aprender a usarla correctamente y no, no podría hacer fotos en interior con luz natural ni queriendo por vivir en un piso en el que apenas entra luz natural. Afortunadamente han quedado unas fotos más o menos bonitas que espero que os gusten.

February adventure · Aventura de Febrero

I haven't taken photos of my MH for weeks, so for the "Adventure's Club" challenge I have taken photos of my Deuce Gorgon. The theme for February is "Local Attraction", so my little monster has made an excursion to Giantpolis. By the way, I want to comment that he finally has a name. I've decided to name him Ophion. It's a Greek name meaning "snake", which is perfect for the kind of monster he is.

Hacía semanas que no le hacía fotos a mis MH, así que por motivo del reto Adverturer's Club, he hecho unas fotos a mi Deuce Gorgon. Para el mes de febrero, el tema es "Atracción Local", así que mi monstruito ha hecho una excursión a Giganpolis. Ya de paso, quiero comentar que por fin tiene nombre, he decidido llamarle Ophion. Es un nombre griego cuyo significado es "serpiente", que le viene perfecto por el tipo de monstruo que es.

Ophion has been on Giantpolis city on excursion and as a good sportsman, he has visited the museum where sports trophies are exposed.
Ophion fue de excursión a la ciudad Giganpolis y como buen deportista que es, visitó un museo donde están expuestos los trofeos deportivos. 

Ophion: These trophies are bigger than me and weigh a ton I can't steal any, but the guy with the bike is my size 

Estos trofeos son más grandes que yo y pesan una tonelada no podré robar ninguno, aunque el tío de la bici es de mi tamaño
