I'm working on getting the blog up to date, so today I'm finally posting the photos from October 2022. I'll also include the ones from Halloween. The following months I took few photos, so I calculate that in the next post all the photos will be updated on the blog.

Me estoy poniendo las pilas para tener el blog actualizado, así que hoy por fin publico las fotos de octubre de 2022. También incluiré las de Halloween. Los siguientes meses hice pocas fotos, así que calculo que en la próxima entrada estarán todas las fotos actualizadas en el blog.

Today the blog turns 12 years old and it has gone through different stages since I started my journey through the blogosphere, so to celebrate I'm going to tell you how I started collecting and photographying toys, that is, dolls and figures. 

Before starting, the photos that you are going to see have different watermarks with the different names that I have been using until the current one, so don't pay attention to them. And after writing this entry for months, I can finally publish it, I hope you enjoy it and you don't find it boring. And With that said, I begin. 

I started collecting toys many years ago, although when I bought my first collector figure, Pisces Aphrodite, I didn't do it as a collector as I bought it because I liked it as it's a character that represents my zodiac sign (Pisces) and with no intentions of collecting more figures even though there were other Saint Seiya action figures that I would have loved to have. I remember I bought it at Toys'R Us in Sant Boi around 2006. At that time I had no idea that there were collectors who even photographed their figures.

Hoy el blog cumple 12 años y ha pasado por distintas etapas desde que inicié mi camino por la blogsfera, así que para celebrarlo os voy a contar cómo empecé en el coleccionismo y fotografía de juguetes, esto es, muñecas y figuras.

Antes de empezar, las fotos que vais a ver tienen distintas marcas de agua con los distintos nombres que he ido usando hasta el actual, así que no les hagáis caso. Y después de estar escribiendo esta entrada durante meses, por fin la puedo publicar. Espero que la disfrutéis y no os parezca aburrida. Dicho esto, empiezo.

Hace muchos años que empecé a coleccionar juguetes, aunque cuando compré mi primera figura de coleccionista, Afrodita de Piscis, no lo hice como coleccionista ya que la compré porque me gustó al ser un personaje que representa mi signo zodiacal (Piscis) y sin intenciones de  coleccionar más figuras a pesar de que habían otras figuras de acción de Saint Seiya (Caballeros del Zodiaco) que me hubiese encantado tener. Recuerdo que la compré en el Toys'R Us de Sant Boi sobre el año 2006. En aquella época no tenía ni idea de que habían coleccionistas que incluso fotografiaban a sus figuras.

Fourth entry of the month, it's been a while since I posted so often and it gives me a nice feeling to know that I'm not neglecting the blog.

We're already with June just around the corner and I still haven't published the April photo compilation. I will not delay any longer and here I show it to you.

How are you spending summer in the northern hemisphere? As for me I'm taking it very lazily and without wanting to do anything. I don't even feel like going out despite having spent almost three months in lockdown. You already know that I don't like summer and wanting the temperature to low (a lot) to get my energy to the full again. So today I told myself that I have to post on the blog so as not to have it neglected and here I am.

The photos that I'm going to publish today correspond to the months of March and April. There is little left to reach the current date.

¿Cómo estáis pasando el verano en el hemisferio norte? Por mi parte lo estoy llevando con mucha pereza y sin ganas de hacer nada. Ni tan siquiera me apetece salir de casa a pesar de haber pasado casi tres meses de confinamiento. Ya sabéis que no me gusta el verano y con ganas de que baje (mucho) la temperatura para volver a tener mi energía a tope. Así que hoy me he dicho que tengo que publicar en el blog para no tenerlo abandonado y aquí estoy.

Las fotos que voy a publicar hoy corresponden a los meses de marzo y abril. Ya queda poco para llegar a la fecha actual.

World Dog Day · Día mundial del Perro

On the 21st was the World Dog Day. I took some photos that I published on Instagram, forgive me for posting them on the blog a few days late, summer exhausts me and I didn't feel like writing on the blog.

For the photos I used a figure and a doll that I hadn't photographed in a long time.

El pasado día 21 fue el Día mundial de Perro. Hice unas fotos que publiqué en Instagram, perdonad que las publique en el blog con unos días de retraso, el verano me agota y no tenía ganas de escribir en el blog.

Para las fotos usé una figura y una muñeca que hacía mucho tiempo que no fotografiaba.

Review · Reseña: Amanita Nightshade

This entry is very delayed, I should have published it a few months ago.

On the 12th August, I went with my mother to buy some things in my town's Carrefour and we decided to look at the dolls. My mother was looking at a communion Nancy doll and when she went to put it back on the shelf, a box fell on her. This box was Monster High Amanita Nightshade, daughter of the Corpse Flower, who was at the top of the shelf. It didn't have the price of the doll marked, but it was a doll that we liked and we didn't buy before because it was expensive. Still, we took it to look at the price in a scanner and we got the surprise when it marked that the price was within the budget we have for MH doll and as we had enough money, we decided to buy it.

El 12 de agosto fui con mi madre a comprar unas cosas en el Carrefour de mi ciudad y nos dio por mirar las muñecas. Mi madre estuvo mirando una Nancy de comunión y cuando fue a ponerla en la estantería, se le cayó encima una caja. Dicha caja era de la Monster High Amanita Nightshade, hija de la Flor Inmortal, que estaba en lo más alto de la estantería. No ponía el precio de la muñeca, pero era una muñeca que nos gustaba y no comprábamos porque era cara. Aún así, nos la llevamos para mirar el precio en un escáner y nos llevamos la sorpresa cuando nos indicó que el precio entraba dentro del presupuesto que tenemos para las MH y como llevábamos suficiente dinero, decidimos comprarla.

Christmas 2016 - Draculaura & Invisi Billy

Today's Christmas shoot is of one of my Monster High couples, this is Billy (Invisi Billy) and Nina (Draculaura). Remember that my dolls are characters that don't belong to the original story and these two dolls are a couple in my story.

They have wanted to pose for some holiday photos and thus wish a happy holiday to the readers 🎄

La sesión navideña de hoy es de una de mis parejitas Monster High, se trata de Billy (Invisi Billy) y Nina (Draculaura). Recordad que mis muñecos son personajes que no pertenecen a la historia original y estos dos muñecos son pareja en mi historia.

Halloween 2016 - Casta Fierce and Raven Queen

We continue with Halloween photos. I haven't taken photos of my Monster High dolls, so I wanted to take the opportunity to take photos of one of them. The choice has been Casta Fierce, who as a witch didn't want to miss this festivity and went to a cemetery to celebrate it.

Seguimos con las fotos de Halloween. Hace tiempo que no les hago fotos a mis muñecas Monster High, así que he querido aprovechar la ocasión y hacerle fotos a una de ellas. La elegida ha sido Casta Fierce, que ya que es bruja no ha querido perderse esta fiesta y se ha ido a un cementerio a celebrarla.

Today's entry is very short and a single photograph.

Yesterday I took a photo with my cell phone to use as an ID in some sites. I wanted it to show the subjects I use to photograh, that's BJDs, dolls and more recently, figures, along with my camera.

La entrada de hoy es muy cortita y de una sola fotografía.

Ayer hice una foto con el móvil que quiero utilizar a modo de ID en algunas páginas. Quería que se viesen reflejados los temas que suelo fotografiar, eso es BJDs, muñecas y más recientemente, figuras, junto con mi cámara fotográfica.

Operetta 'I Love Accessories' Arrival · Llegada

This doll wasn't planned at all. It turns out that in the latest issue of the official Monster High magazine in Spain included an official doll as 'gift' for the modest price of 7.95€. You could choose between Skelita and Operetta, of the collection 'I love accessories' from 2014 and didn't came to the Spanish stores, that's what I've read.

As we already have Skelita and we only collect a doll for each character, we were only interested in the Operetta doll because we didn't have this character. It seemed the magazine didn't arrive at all kiosks of my city, but finally on the 21st I found it by chance in the kiosk near my house. Coincidentally they only had the magazine with the Operetta doll and I didn't hesitate a second to get mine.

Esta muñeca sí que es verdad que no estaba planeada. Resulta que en el último número de la revista oficial de Monster High en España venía con una muñeca oficial de 'regalo' por el módico precio de 7,95€. Se podía elegir entre Skelita y Operetta, de la colección 'I love accessories', del año 2014 y que no llegaron a las tiendas españolas según tengo entendido.

Como ya tenemos a Skelita y solo coleccionamos una muñeca por personaje, solo nos interesaba la muñeca de Operetta porque no teníamos este personaje. Parecía que no había llegado la revista a los kioskos de mi ciudad, pero finalmente el día 21 la encontré de casualidad en el kiosko que hay cerca de mi casa. Casualmente solo tenían disponible la revista con la muñeca de Operetta y no lo dudé ni un segundo para conseguir la mía.

Luna Mothews 'Boo York' Arrival · Llegada

In my previous post I introduced Mouscedes King, which we purchased together with Luna Mothews 'Boo York', doll I'm introducing today and as you know, it was an ordeal to get them.

We liked Luna (in Spanish means Moon), daughter of the moth man, from the first photo we saw of her when she still wasn't for sale. What caught our attention was her Gothic style, so we didn't discard the idea of having her if we found a good offer of her, as it has been.

Now I will show the typical photos of the box.

En mi anterior entrada presenté a Mouscedes King, que compramos junto con Luna Mothews 'Boo York', muñeca que voy a presentar hoy y que como ya sabéis, conseguirlas fue toda una odisea.

Luna, hija del hombre polilla, nos gustó desde la primera fotografía que vimos de ella cuando aún no estaba a la venta. Lo que más nos llamó la atención fue su estilo gótico, así que nos descartamos la idea de tenerla si la encontrábamos de oferta, tal y como ha sido.

Mouscedes King 'Boo York' Arrival · Llegada

In my previous post I introduced Nefera de Nile and I mentioned that two monsters from the 'Boo York' collection have been added to our collection. Do you want to know who they are?

En mi anterior entrada presenté a Nefera de Nile y comenté que otras dos monstruitas de la colección 'Boo York' cayeron en nuestras manos. ¿Queréis saber de quienes se trata? 

Nefera de Nile 'Boo York' Arrival · Llegada

Finally more Monster High dolls have been added to our collection. On Carrefour there is a sale of dolls for 9€ for the collection 'Boo York' and as we like several dolls in this collection, we didn't reject the idea of buying them for that price if by chance we found them (their original price was around 25€ and 28€, in other shops are +30€). On the 13th February we went to the mall Gran Via 2, in Hospitalet, and we went to the Carrefour from this mall. What was our surprise when we stumbled upon Miss Nefera de Nile, doll that we thought we couldn't add to our collection because it was sold out at the Carrefour of my city since Christmas and other centers, so I didn't hesitate to take one of the two remained on the shelf.

Finalmente más muñecas Monster High han caído en nuestras manos. En Carrefour hay una oferta de muñecas de la colección 'Boo York' a 9€ y como nos gustan varias muñecas de esa colección, no descartábamos la idea de comprarlas por ese precio si casualmente las encontrábamos (inicialmente costaban entre cerca de 25€ y 28€, en otras tiendas están a +30€). El día 13 de Febrero fuimos al centro comercial Gran Vía 2 de Hospitalet y entramos en el Carrefour del centro comercial. Cuál fue nuestra sorpresa cuando nos topamos con la señorita Nefera de Nile, muñeca que ya pensábamos que no podríamos incorporar a nuestra colección porque estaba agotada en el Carrefour de mi ciudad desde Navidad y en otros centros, Así que no dudé en coger una de las dos que quedaban en la estantería.

Howleen Wolf (13 Wishes) Arrival · Llegada

As you know, Santa Claus brought us three dolls for Christmas. One of them is the one that I will show today, Howleen Wolf.

I could have had this doll in December 2014 at a fairly reasonable price, but the circumstances didn't let me purchase her in that moment and I felt bad about it. Knowing it was going to be a doll very difficult to find at a reasonable price, I gave it up for lost. Still, I was looking from time to time to see if it was reasonably priced somewhere and I finally found the opportunity on Amazon. Interestingly, I found it for about 18€ and a few days after of purchase her, the shop raised the price again to more than 30€.

But let's go the photos and the opening of the box, which is what matters.

Como ya sabéis, Papá Noel nos trajo tres muñecas por Navidad. Una de ella es la que voy a presentar hoy, Howleen Wolf.

Esta muñeca podría haberla tenido en diciembre de 2014 a un precio bastante razonable, pero por unas circunstancias no la pude comprar en ese momento y me quedó esa espinita clavada. Sabiendo que iba a ser una muñeca difícil de encontrar a precio razonable, la di casi por perdida. Aún así, iba mirando cada cierto tiempo si en algún sitio estaba bien de precio y por fin encontré la oportunidad en Amazon. Curiosamente, la encontré por unos 18€ y a los pocos días de comprarla le volvieron a subir el precio a más de 30€.

Pero pasemos ya a las fotos de la apertura de la caja, que es lo que interesa.

When last week I visited my grandmother in the nursing home where she currently lives, I took two of my Monster High dolls to take photos in the huge backyard of the nursing home. Below I show you photos of the chosen ones, the couple formed by Ophion (Deuce Gorgon) and Venus (Venus McFlytrap).

Cuando fui la semana pasada a visitar a mi abuela en la residencia donde actualmente vive, me llevé a dos de mis muñecos Monster High para hacer fotos en el enorme patio que tiene la residencia. A continuación os muestro fotos de los elegidos, la parejita formada por Ophion (Deuce Gorgon) y Venus (Venus McFlytrap).

Casta Fierce Arrival · Llegada

Finally I get to publish this post. It was saved in the Blogger draft for a long time and I've been writing when I had a little free time, it's been really hard to find time to photograph my dolls (I think the last time I took photos was earlier July) and blogging in the last months. Things of everyday life.

That said, I tell you. Finally I have a new monster even though I no longer have room for more dolls! Although I have the doll for some months and is at home with her friends.

On Friday 8th May, my mother and I went to shopping because we had a wedding on the 29th of that month and we needed to buy clothes and shoes for that day, so as we didn't find anything we liked in our town, finally we went to Barcelona. To keep the habit and as we were in the area, we went to El Corte Ingles to look around in the area of toys (we don't like the clothes that are sold there and is quite expensive) and what was our surprise to find the Monster High Casta Fierce doll, daughter of Circe, the goddess-witch from Greek Mythology, for 9,99€. Seriously, could not believe it and was the only box that was left, so as I saw it, I took it and didn't let it go. I noticed that the doll was stained on her forehead, but I didn't care.

Al final consigo publicar esta entrada. Llevaba bastante tiempo guardado en el borrador de Blogger y la iba escribiendo cuando tenía un poco de tiempo, que últimamente estoy que me las veo y las deseo para encontrar tiempo para fotografiar mis muñecas (creo que la última vez que pude hacer fotos fue a principios de Julio) y escribir en el blog. Cosas de la vida diaria.

Dicho esto, os cuento. ¡Al final ha caído otra monstruita más a pesar de que ya no tengo espacio para más muñecas! Aunque la muñeca ya lleva unos meses en casa con sus amig@s.

El viernes 8 de Mayo mi madre y yo salimos de compras porque teníamos una boda para el día 29 del mismo mes y necesitábamos comprar ropa y zapatos para ese día, así que como no encontrábamos nada que nos gustase en nuestro pueblo, finalmente terminamos en Barcelona. Para no perder la costumbre y ya que estábamos por la zona, fuimos a El Corte Inglés para curiosear en la zona de juguetes (la ropa que venden allí nos parece horrorosa y bastante cara) y cuál fue nuestra sorpresa encontrar la muñeca Monster High Casta Fierce, hija de Circe, diosa-hechicera de la mitología griega, a 9,99€. En serio, estábamos que no nos lo creíamos y era la única caja que quedaba, así que tal y como la vi, la cogí y no la solté. Me fijé que la muñeca tenía la frente manchada, pero me daba igual.

Twyla Arrival · Llegada

This post is very backward, I should have post it in January. For Christmas I got Twyla "13 Wishes" with Gillington "Gil" Webber and Deuce Gorgon. In January I posted the photos of the arrival of the boys and didn't find the time to post the arrival of Twyla.

As usual, I have changed the name of the doll. My Twyla is called Sharon. There's not special reason to be called that name.

And now, let's show the photos of the opening of the box.

Esta entrada está muy atrasada, la debería haber publicado el enero. Por Navidad conseguí a Twyla "13 Monstruodeseos" junto a Gillington "Gil" Webber y Deuce Gorgon. Las fotos de la llegada de los chicos las publiqué en enero y no encontré el momento para publicar la llegada de Twyla. 

Como de costumbre, le he cambiado el nombre a la muñeca. Mi Twyla se llama Sharon. No hay un motivo especial para que se llame así.
