Face-up 11 & 12 / Maquillaje 11 y 12

Hello!

After mulling over many months, that if today, that if tomorrow, if it's summer and because of the heat it was impossible to make face-ups because Citadel didn't dry well, if it rained... and finally last Saturday I decided to make face-ups for Byron and Toshi. Yes, they have a new face! And the best thing is that you're not going to recognize them! They have changed a lot and the best is that they have their proper face-up.

As always, I know these face-ups aren't perfect, they have details than can be improved. The most important is that my personal style is noticeable ^^ It's something that makes me very excited. I also know that they don't have eyebrows and eye shading equals and I have to say that I do it on purpose. Yes, I do it this way because nobody have their eyebrows perfect and make-up have imperfections when you make-up yourself, so they are real-life imperfections and I like it that way. Anyone who knows me, know that I'm a very meticulous and extremely perfectionist person and therefore, they might understand why I have made this decision.

¡Hola!

Después de muchos meses de darle vueltas, que si hoy lo hago, que si mañana, que si llegó el verano y con el calor era imposible maquillar porque no secaba bien el Citadel, que si llovía... al final me puse el sábado y me propuse maquillar a Byron y a Toshi. ¡Sí, tienen cara nueva! ¡Y lo mejor es que no los vais a reconocer! Han cambiado muchísimo y para mejor ya que ahora tienen el maquillaje que les corresponde.

Como siempre, sé que no son maquillajes perfectos, tienen detalles mejorables y lo más importante, ya se nota mi estilo personal ^^ Es algo que me hace mucha ilusión. También sé que no tienen las cejas ni el sombreado de los ojos iguales y a esto tengo que decir que lo hago a propósito. Sí, lo hago de esta manera porque nadie tiene las cejas iguales ni el maquillaje queda igual cuando te maquillas, así que son imperfecciones de la vida real y me gusta que sea así. Quien me conoce, sabe que soy una persona muy detallista y tremendamente perfeccionista y por lo tanto, comprenderá porqué he tomado esta decisión.

Face-up 2

I know that shocks to see Byron with so dark face-up and eyebrows being a blond. I tried to make lighter eyebrows but they looked HORRIBLE with this dark face-up, so I decided him to have dark brown and black eyebrows. In addiction, being a vampire these colours suit him. For my first gothic face-up I don't see it as bad and I love to have made a face-up of this style. I have to add too that this face-up is of the like of my mother, as the doll is hers ^^
Sé que choca mucho ver a Byron con un maquillaje y cejas tan oscuras siendo rubio. Intenté hacerle las cejas más claras, pero quedaba FATAL con este maquillaje tan oscuro, así que decidí que tuviese las cejas entre marrón oscuro y negro. Además, siendo vampiro le sientan bien estos colores. Para ser mi primer maquillaje gótico tampoco lo veo tan mal y me ha encantado hacer un maquillaje de este estilo. También tengo que añadir que todo el maquillaje está a gusto de mi madre ya que el muñeco es suyo ^^

But on the other hand, eyebrows can be improved (I have to learn how to draw them correctly, at all cost. And no, I'm NOT going to buy a head for practice). On one hand, I like how they look with all those disheveled little hairs, but on the other hand, they are long.
Lo malo, las cejas son mejorables (como sea, pero tengo que aprender a hacerlas. Y no, NO voy a comprar una cabeza para prácticas). Por una parte, me gusta la forma que ha quedado con esos pelitos despeinados, pero por otra, son largas.  

Eyelashes aren't well done and I don't know why the pigment doesn't grab well, as it resbalases on the surface (watercolour applied with a 00 brush) and makes them look dirty TT___TT.
The positive thing is that I have no longer to repeat them 1000 times (but 100 ¬_¬ ).

Las pestañas tampoco han quedado bien y no sé porqué, el pigmento no agarra bien y hace "aguas", como si resbalase sobre la superficie (acuarela aplicada con un pincel 00) y hace que se vean engorrosas TT__TT. Lo positivo es que ya no tengo que repetirlas 1000 veces (pero sí 100 ¬_¬ ). 

To end, his next face-up will be a little bit darker. It really should be darker than it is, but Citadel has "bleached" it more than I expected TT___TT
Y para terminar, para la próxima el maquillaje será un poquito más oscuro. En realidad debería verse más oscuro, pero el Citadel lo ha "blanqueado" más de lo que esperaba TT___TT

Toshi with no face-up. It's been the first time I've seen him "faceless".

Toshi sin maquillaje. Ha sido la primera vez que lo he visto "sin cara".

I seeToshi perfect, is just what I wanted for him. In its moment, I ordered the doll with default face-up and over time I regretted because he didn't look anything like the character itself is and besides, there were times that made me the feeling that he seemed blanky or absent-minded. I tried to put up with this face-up as long as possible as I paid a money for it. Now I preffer to make face-ups on my own, so I can easily remove them when they`re damaged or I just see faults that get on my nerves. 
A Toshi lo veo perfecto así, es justo lo que quería para él. El muñeco lo pedí en su momento con el maquillaje default y con el tiempo me arrepentí ya que no se parecía en nada a lo que es el personaje en sí y además, había veces que me parecía inexpresivo o como si estuviese "empanao". Intenté aguantar con este maquillaje tanto tiempo como fuese posible ya que pagué un dinero por él. Ahora prefiero hacer los maquillajes por mi propia cuenta, así no me cuesta tanto quitárselos cuando veo que están estropeados o simplemente les veo unos fallos que me ponen de los nervios. 

As I've said, I love his new face-up. I like how lips and eyes has turned up. Now he looks Visual Punk ^_^ 

Como he dicho, me encanta su nuevo maquillaje. Me gusta cómo me han quedado los labios y los ojos. Ahora sí se ve Visual Punk ^_^

But here we come to the self-critical point. Eyelashes also have that "watery" effect by not attaching well watercolour pigment on the surface, at least I like the lenght they have. The worst are the eyebrows. I hate how they look and the worst is that I realized about that when face-up was sealed the next day *I couldn't be dumbest >.< * The main reason is that they're kilometric and thicker that they sould be. At least I can be thankful that a big part of them are covered with the wig, but I know these faults are there and they're going to torture me until the day I'll decide to make a new face-up >.<

Pero, aquí llegamos al punto autocrítico a saco. Las pestañas también tienen ese efecto "aguado" al no agarrar bien el pigmento de acuarela sobre la superficie, aunque al menos me gusta el largo que tienen. Y lo peor son las cejas. No me gusta nada como han quedado y lo peor es que me di cuenta cuando ya estaba todo sellado al día siguiente *más idiota no he podido ser >.< * El motivo principal es que son kilométricas y más gorditas de lo que deberían ser. Al menos puedo dar gracias de que gran parte de las cejas se tapan con la peluca, aunque sé que tienen esos fallos y me van a torturar hasta el día que decida volver a maquillarle >.<

Face-up 10 / Maquillaje 10

Hi!

Last Tuesday I caught Hiroki and made a new face-up for him. It turns out that tomorrow I'm going to a doll meetup and I'm going to take him, but I didn't like how his eyelashes turned out when I made his face-up last month and I didn't like the idea to take him like that. So I tried to erase his eyelashes only and ended up erasing the whole face-up because it looked dirty.

To make the new face-up took me the whole day! Citadel, the spray varnish I use to fix the face-up, hasn't dried well due to the high temperature, but even so the face-up is moderately well and thus, Hiroki is ready to go to the meetup.

As usual, drawing eyelashes has been a nightmare, but I've managed to draw them natural with the thin brush! I had to redo them many times but the most important is that finally they look much better than last time, they were a glob.

I know that eyebrows aren't very symmetrical. You also have to think that no one really has their eyebrows symmetrical and identical, so it's a "natural fault".

¡Buenas!

El jueves cogí a Hiroki y lo volví a maquillar. Resulta que el domingo voy a ir a una quedada y me lo voy a llevar a él, pero no me gustaba nada cómo me quedaron las pestañas cuando lo maquillé el mes pasado y no me hacía gracia la idea de llevarlo de esa manera. Así que intenté borrarle solo las pestañas y terminé borrándole el maquillaje por completo porque se veía el pegote del borrón.

¡Maquillarlo me costó todo el día! El Citadel no ha quedado bien del todo por las altas temperaturas, pero aún así, el maquillaje ha quedado medianamente bien y por lo tanto, Hiroki está presentable para ir a la quedada.

Como siempre, las pestañas han sido una pesadilla, ¡pero por fin he conseguido hacerlas naturales y con el pincel fino! Tuve que rehacerlas muchas veces aunque lo importante es que finalmente han quedado muchísimo mejor que la vez anterior, que eran un pegote.

Sé que las cejas no han quedado muy simétricas. También hay que pensar que en realidad, nadie tiene las cejas simétricas ni idénticas, así que es un "fallo natural".

Face-up 8 & 9 / Maquillaje 8 y 9

Eighth and ninth face-up. I made them at the beginning of month and between one thing and another, I forgot to edit the photos in order that they would look clearer and there they stayed  unpublished.

This time was the turn for the twins Akane and Hiroki. I've noticed enough improvement in my face-ups, I like how their eyebrows and lips have turned out, but the lower eyelashes are a nightmare, I don't do them well and I have the desire to redo their face-up only because of it.

And finally, photos if the twins faced-up. Later I'm going to upload a shoot of them that I made on Wednesday.

Octavo y noveno maquillaje. Los hice a principios de mes y entre unas cosas y otras, me olvidé de retocar las fotos para que se viesen más claritas y ahí quedaron sin publicar.

Esta vez les tocó el turno a los mellizos Akane y Hiroki. He notado bastante mejoría en mis maquillajes, me gusta cómo les ha quedado las cejas y los labios, pero las pestañitas inferiores son una pesadilla, no me salen bien y me dan ganas de volver remaquillarlos solo por eso. 

Y por fin, fotos de los mellizos maquillados. Luego subiré la sesión que les hice el miércoles.

Akane

We wanted her to have an angry expresion and it seems I've got it.

Her eyebrows and lower eyelashes are in lighter colour because we thought about put her a chestnut wig. No, in the end the lady has a completely black hair.

Queríamos que tuviese expresión de enfadada y parece que lo he conseguido.

Tiene las cejas y las pestañitas inferiores de un color más clarito porque pensábamos ponerle una peluca castaña. Pues no, al final la señorita tiene el pelo completamente negro.

His face-up overall I like how it turned out, but I don't like at all the lower eyelashes. After taking the photos, I added longer eyelashes in order that they wouldn't look equal and they look awful. One day I'll feel like to redoing completely the face-up...

Su maquillaje en general me gusta cómo ha quedado, pero no me gusta nada las pestañitas inferiores. Después  de haber hecho las fotos le añadí pestañitas más largas para que no se viesen todas iguales y han quedado fatal. Ya me entrará un día la vena de volver a rehacerle el maquillaje por completo...

Face-up 7 // Maquillaje 7

Seventh makeup. Finally I have to Shun with his face-up done! I finished it a couple of weeks, along with Sam. The face-up isn't perfect (as usual), but I like how natural it has turned out. Although I had to repeat the eyebrows from scratch because they were very up and made ​​him a crazy look that embarrasses me to upload the few photos I took. The trouble, as I had to completely erase the eyebrows, down his temples it's noted that the area is completely remade. Luckily, the wig covers the defect and it's not noticeable in the photos.

Although I notice improvement with my face-ups, I have difficulty with eyelashes and eyebrows yet. However the case may be, but I have to master them! And with this face-up, I've found out that make-up brushes from a supermarket are perfect for make BJD's face-up, they catch pastel pigment that makes it easy to work like this, so as I have only one, I'm going to buy several different sizes and then I won't have to fight with the damn ed pastels to be fixed.

Now I have to make a shoot to introduce him. He already has his official wig, although the absence of eyes, the ones which has now are provisional and in addition, they are big for him.

Séptimo maquillaje. ¡Por fin tengo a Shun maquillado! Lo terminé hará cosa de un par de semanas, junto con Sam. El maquillaje no es perfecto (para variar), pero me gusta cómo ha quedado de natural. Aunque tuve que repetir las cejas desde cero porque quedaron muy subidas y le hacían una mirada de loco que me da hasta vergüenza subir el par de fotos que le hice. Lo malo, como tuve que borrar las cejas por completo, por las sienes se nota que se rehízo la zona por completo. Suerte que la peluca tapa todo ese defecto y no se nota en las fotos.

Aunque ya noto mejoría con mis maquillajes, aún tengo dificultad con las pestañitas y las cejas. Como sea, ¡pero tengo que dominarlos! Y con este maquillaje he descubierto que los pinceles para maquillar del Mercadona son perfectos, cogen el pigmento de los pasteles que da gusto, así que como solamente tengo uno, compraré varios de distintos tamaños y ya no tendré que pelearme tanto para que el maldito pastel se fije.

Ahora tengo que hacerle una sesión para presentarlo. Ya tiene su peluca oficial, aunque está a falta de ojos, los que tiene son provisionales y además, le vienen grandes T_T

To begin, I want to thank the new follower. Thank you for coming and stay ^_^

As I wrote in my last entry, our two foxes have their face-up done. Today I'm coming with photos of Sam, my mother's fox. I have tried to make his face-up as similar as possible to Dean's and though it's not perfect, I quite like how it turned out. The important thing is that little by little I'm improving based on seeing my own mistakes (I'm a versy self-critical person) and I will redo it again.

I think that a natural face-up looks well on these creatures. At first I thought about drawing eyebrows on them, but I turned out this idea when I realized that I didn't like how they looked on Dean, the first one I faced-up.

Para empezar, quiero dar las gracias a la nueva seguidora. Gracias por pasarte y decidir quedarte ^_^

Como ya comenté en mi anterior entrada, los dos zorritos están maquillados. Hoy os quiero enseñar las fotos de Sam, el zorrito de mi madre. El maquillaje he intentado hacerlo lo más parecido posible al de Dean y aunque no haya quedado perfecto, me gusta bastante cómo ha quedado. Lo importante es que pero poco a poco voy mejorando a base de ver mis propios fallos (soy una persona muy autocrítica) y lo cambiaré dentro de un tiempo.

Creo que un maquillaje así de natural les queda muy bien a estos bichos. En un principio pensé en dibujarles cejas, pero deseché la idea al comprobar que no me gustaba cómo le quedaba a Dean, el primero al que maquillé.

Face-up 5 // Maquillaje 5

Lately I can't spend much time here, so I have photos and other stuff delayed. One of them is that I've made three face-ups in the last months but I haven't been able to show them yet despite having taken the photos.

Our two foxes have their face-up done! Sure that almost no one remembers that in December last year we got two Dollzone foxes, one is mine and the other  one belongs to my mother. Well, their face-up is done. I'm going to show you photos of Dean, my fox. I made this face-up early April, though isn't perfect and it's a bit dirty in the chit and one of the eyes. I'm not going to fix it now, I'll redo it withing a time (and so, I'll practice again and get more experience).

Últimamente no puedo pasar mucho tiempo por aquí, así que tengo fotos y otras cosas atrasadas. Una de ellas, es que he hecho tres maquillajes en el último mes pero aún no los he podido mostrar a pesar de tener hechas las fotos.

¡Ya tengo a los dos zorritos maquillado! Seguro que casi nadie se acuerda que en Diciembre del año pasado llegaron unos zorritos de Dollzone, uno mío y otro de mi madre. Pues ya están los dos maquillados. Hoy os voy a enseñar las fotos de Dean, mi zorrito. El maquillaje lo hice a principios de Abril, aunque tiene fallos y por la barbilla y uno de los ojos ha quedado algo sucio. Por ahora lo voy a dejar así, ya lo volveré a remaquillar dentro de un tiempo (y así vuelvo a practicar y coger más experiencia).

Last Tuesday afternoon I couldn't resist and I changed Daisuke's face-up, as I had time for it. I was bored of his seedy face-up.

I know I still have a lot to lear, but I'm pretty happy with the result. I have to add that I still have to put gloss on (it will be soon) and correct his fangs. And I'm sure that I'm going to be complaining about this face-up in a few months because I will find faults everywhere, lol

This is the 4th face-up I've made and second having Daisuke.

El martes por la tarde no aguanté más, y como tenía tiempo, le cambié el maquillaje a Daisuke. Ya me aburría el cutre-maquillaje que tenía.

Sé que aún me queda bastante por aprender, pero estoy bastante contenta con el resultado. También tengo que añadir que le falta ponerle gloss (se lo pondré pronto) y corregir los colmillos. Y seguro que dentro de unos meses, estaré quejándome porque le encuentro fallos por todas partes, jajaja.

Este es el 4º maquillaje que hago y el 2º que tiene Daisuke.
