Today is the last Monday of the month, so that menas today I post a Blog Hop entry. The theme of June is "Music", so I will talk about the music that I like with the company of Hiroki, who you haven't seen in the blog for a long time.

Hoy es el último lunes de mes, así que toca Blog Hop. El tema de junio es "Música", así que os hablaré de la música que me gusta con la compañía de Hiroki, al que hace muchísimo tiempo que no veis por el blog.

5th Anniversary of Akane and Hiroki · 5º Aniversario de Akane y Hiroki

Lately I have the blog very neglected and I have many delayed entries for publishing, so to have it updated, today I publish the photos I took of the twins, Akane and Hiroki.

Yesterday the siblings turned 5 years old, so as I don't want it to happen like last year, that they ran out of photos to celebrate it, this time I've taken them with time, although here I post them a day later.

Tengo el blog muy abandonado últimamente y tengo bastantes entradas atrasadas por publicar, así que para tenerlo actualizado hoy publico las fotos que les hice a los mellizos, Akane y Hiroki.

Ayer cumplieron 5 añitos los hermanos, así que como no quiero que me pase como el año pasado, que se quedaron sin fotos para celebrarlo, esta vez las he hecho con tiempo aunque aquí las publique con un día de retraso.

This year I haven't taken photos for the birthdays of some of my BJDs due to lack of time. As I was sorry they seem forgotten, I have taken two group photos so they're not sad and know that I still love them.

Este año no he hecho fotos por los cumpleaños de algunos de mis BJDs por falta de tiempo. Como me daba penita dejarlos olvidados, les he hecho dos fotos grupales para que así no estén tristes y sepan que les sigo queriendo.

Another year I join the cause and support the BJD artists in this way. It is shameful that each year we have to be doing this kind of tribute and try to make people aware of the negative that recast is. On this occasion, I have chosen Akane and Hiroki because I miss Dream of Doll, which closed a year ago.

Otro año me sumo a la causa y apoyar de esta manera a los artistas de BJDs. Es vergonzoso que cada año tengamos que estar haciendo esta especie de homenaje e intentar concienciar a la gente lo negativo que es el recast. En esta ocasión, he elegido a Akane y Hiroki porque hecho de menos a Dream of Doll, que cerró hace un año.

And here it is the last photo shoot of Halloween. As we already have so many BJDs and requires a lot of time taking pictures of all, I decided take the shortest way and make the MSD and animals the the protagonists.

Y aquí tenemos la última sesión de Halloween. Como tenemos ya tantos BJDs y requiere muchísimo tiempo hacer fotos de todos, decidí ir a lo rápido y que los protagonistas fuesen los MSD y los animalitos.

Shirley, a Charles' Creature Cabinet 'Batty Boo Pink',  was incorporated in the BJDs family last June. At this time I have been taking photos of her with the rest of the family, so she has met them and I have finally took the latest photos.

Let's see what impressions she has of each of them.

En Junio se incorporó a la familia de BJD's Shirley, una 'Batty Boo' rosa de Charles' Creature Cabinet. En este tiempo he ido haciendo fotos de ella con el resto de la familia para que se vayan conociendo y por fin terminé con las últimas fotos.

Hiroki's Yukata completed · Yukata de Hiroki completo

I purchased for Hiroki and Akane a yukata by order at the Dolls & Party 2015, made by my friend Nadia, from Sweet~Angel~Kawaii, but Hiroki's was unfinished and provisionally she gave me an obi for girl and told me she would make one for boy at no cost. Finally she could finish it about a couple of months ago and last Saturday she delivered it in hand.

En el Dolls & Party de 2015 les compramos a Hikori y a Akane un yukata por encargo, hecho por mi amiga Nadia, de Sweet~Angel~Kawaii, pero el de Hiroki me lo dio sin terminar ya que de forma provisional me dio un obi de chica y me dijo que me haría uno de chico sin coste alguno. Finalmente pudo terminarlo hará cosa de un par de meses y el pasado sábado me lo entregó en mano.

Akane & Hiroki 3rd Anniversary · 3er Aniversario de Akane y Hiroki

Finally I can post an entry before the review of the Pink Dolly Day, to be hold tomorrow.

These photos should have been published on the 29th May, which was the 3rd anniversary of the twins Akane, and Hiroki. Between one thing and another, I didn't found the way to take photos until two days ago. My intention was to take them outdoors, but with so many hours of sun I don't even know at what time go outside, I prefer autumn and winter and cloudy days. Call me odd, but in summer I feel pretty lazy to go out and taking photos with that sun and little shade and when the sun starts to set and isn't so hot, it's too late to go out loaded with dolls and camera.

Finally, seeing no cloudy day coming, I decided to take the photos on the balcony, but with that bad lighting and not making a photographic studio to use artificial light booster for only four photos because I was lazy to do it, they haven't turned out as good as I would have liked. Still I hope you like this photo shoot.

Finalmente publico una entrada antes del reportaje del Pink Dolly Day, que se celebrará mañana.

Estas fotos deberían haber sido publicadas el día 29 de Mayo, que fue el 3er aniversario de los mellizos Akane y Hiroki. Entre unas cosas y otras, no pude hacer las fotos hasta hace dos días. Mi intención era hacerlas en exterior, pero con tantas horas sol no sé ni a qué hora salir, prefiero el otoño e invierno y los días nublados. Llamadme rara, pero en verano me da mucha pereza salir y hacer fotos con tanto sol y poca sombra y cuando ya empieza a ponerse el sol y ya no calienta tanto, ya es tarde como para salir cargada con muñecos y la cámara.

Finalmente y viendo que no venía ningún día nublado, decidí hacer las fotos en el balcón, pero con la pésima iluminación y por no montar un estudio fotográfico por pereza para utilizar luz artificial de refuerzo para cuatro fotos, no han quedado tan bien como me hubiese gustado. Aún así espero que os guste esta sesión.

Halloween 2015

We're at that time of year that I love, Halloween! Although this year nearly I don't take photos for lack of motivation. It turns out last October 6th my paternal grandfather died and we are now in mourning. We visited him every week and in recent months he was ill, so now miss that weekly visit. Still, life goes on for those who are here and finally I found motivation for the Halloween shots this year. I was inspired by old photographs in black and white, I think they have a special magic that colour photographs lack. Also I have aged them with Photoshop, you'll see that I used two ways to do it.

Then I show you the pictures I've taken of our BJDs.

Ya estamos en esa época del año que tanto me gusta, ¡Halloween! Aunque este año por poco no hago fotografías por falta de motivación. Resulta que el pasado 6 de Octubre falleció mi abuelo paterno y ahora estamos con el duelo. Iba a visitarle todas las semanas y en los últimos meses había dado un bajón bastante importante, así que ahora se echa en falta el no ir a hacerle la visita semanal. Aún así, la vida sigue para los que estamos aquí y finalmente encontré motivación para la sesión de Halloween de este año. Me he inspirado en las fotografías antiguas en blanco y negro, que pienso que tienen una magia especial que las fotografías en color carecen. También las he envejecido con Photoshop, veréis que utilicé dos formas de hacerlo.

In this entry I'm showing the shoot of Hiroki.

Lo primero que os voy a enseñar, son las tarjetas que fui recogiendo en el evento.

On July 4 was held the 2nd edition of the event Dolls & Party, devoted to BJD, Pullip and Blythe dolls. As I said in a previous post, I bought my ticket to attend. It's amazing how quickly time passes because have already passed several days of it.

I went to the event with my mother, you know that she also likes and collects dolls and although we didn't go for the whole day, we had a blast. I'll tell you how was the day in several entries because this is going to be very long.

We left home after lunch at past 13:30h to take the bus that leads to Plaça Espanya. There we had to take the Line 1 of the subway to "Glories" station and then take the tram to the "Maresme" station. Fortunately my mother remembered the tram because the journey is a few minutes only because the other option was to take the Line 4 of the subway, which are more stops and much slower. So at about 15:10h we were in the Ballroom of the Hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar.

El pasado 4 de Julio se celebró la 2ª edición del evento Dolls & Party, dedicado a muñecas BJD, Pullip y Blythe. Como ya anuncié en una entrada anterior, había comprado mi entrada para asistir. Es increíble lo rápido que pasa el tiempo porque ya han pasado varios días de ello.

Al evento fui con mi madre, que ya sabéis que también le gustan y colecciona muñecas y aunque no fuimos para todo el día, nos lo pasamos genial. Os voy a contar cómo fue el día en varias entradas porque esto va a ser muy largo.

Salimos de casa después de comer, a las 13:30h pasadas para coger el bus que lleva a Plaça Espanya de Barcelona. Allí tuvimos que coger el metro de la L1 hasta "Glories" para luego coger el tranvía hasta la estación "Maresme". Suerte que mi madre se acordó del tranvía porque el trayecto es de pocos minutos ya que la otra opción era la de coger la L4 del metro, que son más paradas y mucho más lento. Así que a eso de las 15:10h ya estábamos en la sala Ballroom del hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar.

Recast is killing the hobby, as simple as that. Why? I read that Lillycat has been a victim of recast, being her mold Constantine the recasted doll. Are you seeing what this means? Another artist who spends a lot of hours, days and even weeks to sculpt one of her dolls, has been a victim of recast. Prorecast has contributed to this theft and Lillycat may feel sad and wondering why people can be as fake and prefer to purchase a non legit doll instead of hers, who's who deserves it because she's the sculptor, not Luo Lugui, who is enriched at the expence of the work of others who HAVE worked. A few months ago I wrote a post to say why I don't and will never support recast.

Yesterday I saw in flickr something very interesting to support BJD artists. All you have to do today, Sunday 16th November, is to take a photo of one of your doll with a supportive message, submit it everywhere: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, with the tag: #proBjdArtists

I want to give a big hug to saskha for this great idea.

I thought I wouldn't be in time to participate, but here are two pics of our dolls supporting BJD artists. All our BJDs, Chinese and Korean, are legit and we (my mother and me) are proud to have saved for months and/or years to purchase them.

El recast está matando el hobby, tan simple como eso. ¿Por qué? He leído que Lillycat ha sido víctima del recast, siendo su molde Constantine la muñeca recasteada. ¿Sabéis lo que significa esto? Otra artista que se ha pasado horas, días e incluso semanas para esculpir una de sus muñecas, ha sido víctima del recast. Pro-recast ha contribuido a este robo y Lillycat se debe sentir mal y preguntándose porqué la gente es tan falsa que prefiere comprar un muñeco no legítimo en lugar del suyo, que es quien se lo merece por ser la escultora, no Luo Ligui, que se enriquece a costa del trabajo de otras personas que SÍ se han esforzado. Hace unos meses escribí una entrada para explicar porqué no estoy ni estaré a favor del recast.

Ayer vi en flickr algo muy interesante para apoyar a los artistas de BJDs. Lo que hay que hacer hoy, Domingo 16 de Noviembre, es hacer una foto a uno de tus muñecos con un mensaje de apoyo y subirlo a todas partes: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, con el tag: #proBjdArtists

Quiero darle un abrazo enorme a saskha por esta gran idea.

Pensé que no me daría tiempo participar, pero aquí están las dos fotos que he hecho de nuestros muñecos apoyando a los artistas de BJDs. Todos nuestros BJD, chinos y coreanos, son legítimos y nosotras (mi madre y yo) estamos orgullosas de haber ahorrado durante meses y/o años para comprarlos. 

Halloween 2014 · Danielle - Akane & Hiroki

Halloween is here! If you read me, you know that I love Halloween and I celebrate it every year making thematic shoots of my BJDs. I don't know if this year I'll be able to take photos of all BJDs, they are many and in that sense is overwhelming, but I'm doing something! So last week I took Danielle and I experimented again with lighting and the hybrid camera. This time I decide to use the manual white balance setting and I think that I will won't use auto settings much.

I also dared to use fake blood. Danielle is a Dhampir (transformed), but has more percentage of vampire. She's something like a vampire with a small human part, so blood doesn't make her sick. Despite some people have used fake blood on BJDs and say that doesn't stain the resin, I didn't want to use much in case it would cause any problems. Confirmed, it can be used perfectly as it leaves no trace and removes very easily. In fact, I put blood in the mouth of the doll and the face-up still intact. I will use the little bottle I bought in many shoots (remember that Byron is a vampire and my MH Draculaure, Nina, is a non vegan vampire).

The photos are somewhat repetitive, I still hope you like: 

¡Halloween ya está aquí! Si me leéis desde hace tiempo, ya sabéis que me encanta Halloween y todos los años lo celebro haciendo sesiones temáticas a mis BJDs. No sé si este año voy a ser capaz de hacer fotos a todos los BJDs, son muchos y en ese sentido es agobiante, ¡pero algo voy haciendo! Así que la semana pasada cogí a Danielle y volví a experimentar con la iluminación y la cámara híbrida. En esta ocasión me animé a utilizar el modo manual de balance de blancos y me parece a mí que el modo automático voy a usarlo poco.

También me atreví a utilizar sangre artificial. Danielle es Dhampiresa (convertida), aunque tiene más porcentaje de vampira. Es algo así como una vampira con una pequeña parte humana, así que no le hace ascos a la sangre. A pesar de que hay gente que ha utilizado sangre artificial en BJDs y dice que no deja rastro en la resina, no quise utilizar mucha por si luego tenía algún problema. Pues confirmado, se puede utilizar perfectamente ya que no deja rastro alguno y se quita muy fácilmente. De hecho, puse sangre en la boca de la muñeca y el maquillaje sigue intacto. El botecito que compré me va a servir para muchas sesiones (recordad que Byron es vampiro y mi MH Draculaura, Nina, es vampira no vegana).

Adventurer's Club - July: Travel Case

I have finally taken the photos for the Adventurer's Club challenge. Like last month, I knew exactly what to do for this challenge, "Travel Case". , but between one thing and another, I haven't been able to take these photos until almost the last moment.

So for this challenge I'm going to show you how I carry my dolls when I take the very few photos outside.

Por fin he hecho las fotos para el reto del Adventurer's Club. Como el mes pasado, sabía perfectamente qué hacer para este reto, "Travel Case" (Maleta de viaje), pero entre unas cosas y otras, no pude hacer las fotos hasta casi el último momento.

Pues para este reto os voy a enseñar cómo transporto a mis muñecos cuando hago las escasísimas fotos en exterior.

The shoes of our BJDs · Los zapatos de nuestros BJDs

This post is dedicated to Yami Mae, I promised her to take the photos you're going to see. That said, to the point.

Last Sunday 22nd I went with my friends Nadia and Chandrama to a doll meetup from which I'll write in my next post. Mainly, the reason why I went to this meetup was because someone had to hand deliver boots for Byron from a shared order processing to Angell Studio from a Spanish forum about BJDs. The waiting time was eternal because although the order was made in January, the parcel was in customs for around 3 months. The important thing is that Byron already has his boots:

Esta entrada está dedicada a Yami Mae, que le prometí hacer las fotos que a continuación vais a ver. Dicho esto, al tema. 

El pasado domingo día 22 fui con mis amigas Nadia y Chandrama a una quedada de la que escribiré en mi próxima entrada. Principalmente, el motivo por el que fui a esta quedada fue porque me tenían que entregar en mano unas botitas que pedí para Byron en un pedido conjunto a Angell Studio a través del BJDoll. El tiempo de espera fue eterna porque aunque el pedido se hizo en enero, el paquete cayó en aduanas y lo retuvieron cerca de 3 meses, si es que no llegó. Lo importante es que Byron ya tiene sus botitas:

Aren't they cool? Although what I promised to Yami Mae wasn't this photo, is what you're going to see below. Isn't nothing but photos of ALL the footwear our dolls have. I know that when you'll see them, more than one will think that we're crazy, but we admit it because we love that all our dolls have variety of shoes and clothes to combine because we think is boring to see them wearing always the same clothes and shoes. If they can't wear something a year, we make it to the next and so it doesn't give the impression that they always wear the same outfits.

¿Verdad que son muy chulas? Aunque lo que le prometí a Yami Mae no fue esta foto, si no lo que vais a ver a continuación, que no es otra cosa que fotos de TODOS los zapatos que tienen nuestros muñecos. Sé que cuando los veáis, más de uno va a pensar que estamos locas, pero lo reconocemos, ya que nos encanta que todos nuestros muñecos tengan variedad de zapatos y ropa para combinar entre sí porque nos aburre verlos siempre con la misma ropa y calzado. Si algo no se lo pueden poner un año, se lo ponemos al siguiente y así no da la impresión de que van vestidos siempre igual.

52 pairs of shoes and boots among all the dolls! XD Although in truth, they really should have been less because Danielle has inherited shoes that are small for Toshi (feet of hobbit) or Maiko (feet of hobbit). For example, the high heels were originally bought for Maiko but she can't keep standing with her high feet because they are wobbly and therefore, we decide that Danielle keeps these shoes. Fortunately, Maiko keeps standing perfectly with her high feet wearing high heels boots. Thinking about it, I have bough to Danielle five pairs of shoes/boots, the other footwear have been inherited.

Maiko has also inherited boots that were for Toshi and it made me very angry. But it was impossible to zip up these boots and they even burst. Lucky that they didn't break and Maiko can take advantage of them.

And of course, sometimes our SD exchange their shoes (except Byron, his feet are even bigger than a hobbit's feet).

¡52 pares de zapatos y botas entre todos los muñecos! XD Aunque a decir verdad, en realidad deberían haber sido menos ya que Danielle ha heredado zapatos que no le venían bien a Toshi (pies de hobbit) o de Maiko (pies de hobbit). Por ejemplo, los zapatos de tacón que tiene eran originariamente de Maiko pero ella no se mantiene de pie con los pies de tacón porque le bailan los pies y por lo tanto, decidimos que se los quedase Danielle. Por fortuna, Maiko aguanta de pie perfectamente con las botas de pie de tacón. Mirándolo bien, a Danielle le compré cinco pares de zapatos/botas, el resto de calzado es heredado.

Maiko también ha heredado botas que eran para Toshi y me dio mucha rabia. Pero al pobre no le subía la cremallera de las botas y las llegó a reventar. Suerte que no se rompieron y Maiko puede aprovecharlas. 

Y por supuesto que a veces intercambian calzado entre los SD (excepto Byron, que sus pies son aún más grandes que los de un hobbit).

First anniversary of Akane and Hiroki · Primer aniversario de Akane y Hiroki

On the 29th was the first anniversary of the twins Akane and Hiroki. As is tradition, I did a photo shoot to celebrate their first year at home.

Today also marks the first anniversary of the death of my grandmother. It's amazing how fast time flies...

With this post are already 200 I've posted on this blog! When I started to write this blog, back in August 2010, I didn't think I would do it for as long and keeping it up to date. The most important is that I haven't lost the ilussion for it. I also want to mention that I've changed the watermarks of the photos in order to not be as big and annoying to view the photos. In short, whoever who wants to steal the photos will do it anyway ¬_¬

I don't entertain you for longer and here are the photos of the twins. I hope you like! ^^

El día 29 los mellizos Akane y Hiroki cumplieron su primer año. Como es tradición, hice una sesión para celebrar el primer año en casa.

Hoy también se cumple un año de la muerte de mi abuela. Es increíble lo rápido que pasa el tiempo...

¡Con esta entrada ya son las 200 las que he publicado en este blog! Cuando empecé a escribir en este blog, allá por agosto de 2010, no pensé que aguantaría tanto tiempo con ello y manteniéndolo al día. Lo importante es que la ilusión por él no la he perdido. Y también quiero mencionar que he cambiado la marca de agua de las fotos para que no sea tan grande y molesta a la hora de ver las fotos. Total, quien quiera robar fotos lo va a hacer igual ¬_¬

No os entretengo más y aquí tenéis las fotos de los mellizos ¡Espero que os gusten! ^^
