On Amazon I bought some artificial dead leaves that I wanted to use in some Halloween photos, but they didn't arrive on time. Luckily, I can use the leaves in other photographs, so when they arrived, I took some photos of Shun to see how they look.

Compré en Amazon unas hojas secas artificiales que quería usar en algunas fotografías de Halloween, pero no llegaron a tiempo. Suerte que las hojas las puedo usar en otras fotografías, así que cuando llegaron, le hice unas fotos a Shun para probar cómo quedaban.

Another year I join the cause and support the BJD artists in this way. I know that I always say the same, but it's shameful that each year we have to be doing this tribute and try to make people aware of the negative that recast is.

This year I have taken the photo with Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy'), Danielle (Dollzone 'Clovera') y Shun (Angel of Dream 'Hao').

Otro año me sumo a la causa y apoyar de esta manera a los artistas de BJDs. Sé que siempre digo lo mismo, pero es vergonzoso que cada año tengamos que estar haciendo este homenaje e intentar concienciar a la gente lo negativo que es el recast.

Este año he hecho la foto con Toshi (Dollzone 'Floy'), Danielle (Dollzone 'Clovera') y Shun (Angel of Dream 'Hao').

5th Anniversary of Shun · 5º Aniversario de Shun

I still have several pending entries to publish, let's see if I can manage to update the blog as soon as possible. So today I come with one of those entries that I should have published a few weeks ago.

On the 25th of April was the 5th anniversary of Shun, so I took photos of him to celebrate it. They are somewhat repetitive, yet I hope you like them. I have previously uploaded them on Instagram and today they see the light on the blog. 

Aún tengo varias entradas pendientes por publicar, a ver si me pongo al día y lo actualizo todo lo antes posible. Así que hoy vengo con una de esas entradas que debería haber publicado hace unas semanas.

El día 25 de abril fue el 5º aniversario de Shun, así que le hice fotos para celebrarlo. Son algo repetitivas, aún así espero que os gusten. Las fotos las subí en su momento en Instagram y hoy ven la luz en el blog.

Another year has ended to start a new one. And here you have me from the first day to wish you all a happy new year. I hope this 2018 comes with many pleasant surprises for everyone.

Shun 4th Anniversary · 4º Aniversario de Shun

Tomorrow Shun will turn four years at home, although his official birthday is on the 16th April. Yesterday I took photos of him to celebrate his anniversary and thus upload them on time

Word: Friendship.

Comment: I had this game completely forgotten! The last photo I took for this game was in 2013, so after all these years, I come back with it and thus I "force myself" to take photos of my BJDs.

The photograph is expressly taken for the game and in it we can see the close friendship between Maiko, Shun, Danielle, Toshi and Byron. It was somewhat complicated to get the pose of the dolls because Byron and Toshi refused to hold hands 😆

The concept of photography came to my mind suddenly and I took the photo about half an hour before I went to work.

Comentario: ¡Tenía este juego completamente olvidado! La última foto que hice para este juego fue en 2013, así que después de todos estos años, vuelvo a la carga con ello y así me "obligo" a hacer fotos a los BJD.

La fotografía está hecha expresamente para el juego y en ella podemos ver la estrecha amistad entre Maiko, Shun, Danielle, Toshi y Byron. Fue algo complicado conseguir la pose de los muñecos ya que Byron y Toshi se negaban a cogerse de la mano 😆

El concepto de la fotografía se me ocurrió de repente e hice la foto como media hora antes de irme a trabajar.

Christmas 2016 - BJD

Shirley, a Charles' Creature Cabinet 'Batty Boo Pink',  was incorporated in the BJDs family last June. At this time I have been taking photos of her with the rest of the family, so she has met them and I have finally took the latest photos.

Shun 3rd Anniversary · 3er Aniversario de Shun

Today Shun turns three years old. I wanted to celebrate it taking a few photos of him, but I haven't managed to make a good photo shoot. The poor guy's elastic are "loosen" and he'd need a tune-up, so I have taken some quick photos. I'm sorry that they are very repetitive TT__TT

Hoy Shun cumple tres añitos. He querido celebrarlo haciéndole unas fotos, pero no he podido hacer una sesión muy buena. El pobre está ya muy destensado y va a necesitar una puesta a punto por completo, así que le he hecho unas fotos rápidas. Lamento que sean muy repetitivas TT__TT

During the last week I've been updating the profiles of our BJDs and I have published the profiles that were missing. You can find them in the "Profiles" page, which has also been updated and no longer has that abandoned appearance.

Durante la última semana he estado actualizando los perfiles de nuestros BJDs y he publicado los perfiles que faltaban. Podéis encontrarlos en la página "Profiles", que también ha sufrido de un lavado de cara y ya no tiene ese aspecto abandonado.

Halloween 2015

We're at that time of year that I love, Halloween! Although this year nearly I don't take photos for lack of motivation. It turns out last October 6th my paternal grandfather died and we are now in mourning. We visited him every week and in recent months he was ill, so now miss that weekly visit. Still, life goes on for those who are here and finally I found motivation for the Halloween shots this year. I was inspired by old photographs in black and white, I think they have a special magic that colour photographs lack. Also I have aged them with Photoshop, you'll see that I used two ways to do it.

Then I show you the pictures I've taken of our BJDs.

Ya estamos en esa época del año que tanto me gusta, ¡Halloween! Aunque este año por poco no hago fotografías por falta de motivación. Resulta que el pasado 6 de Octubre falleció mi abuelo paterno y ahora estamos con el duelo. Iba a visitarle todas las semanas y en los últimos meses había dado un bajón bastante importante, así que ahora se echa en falta el no ir a hacerle la visita semanal. Aún así, la vida sigue para los que estamos aquí y finalmente encontré motivación para la sesión de Halloween de este año. Me he inspirado en las fotografías antiguas en blanco y negro, que pienso que tienen una magia especial que las fotografías en color carecen. También las he envejecido con Photoshop, veréis que utilicé dos formas de hacerlo.

Shun 2nd Anniversary · Segundo aniversario de Shun

Today I want to start this post by welcoming the new followers. Thank you so much for deciding to stay here and I hope your stay is enjoyable.

Last 25th April was the 2nd anniversary of Shun. That day I couldn't take photos of him and submit this post because I went to Barcelona for the first edition of the "Harajuku Fashion Walk", hosted by the Japanese fashion shop Madame Chocolate. I will talk about it in my next post.

Later, I've been busy with things in my daily life that have prevented me to publish this post. As is better late than never, I have finally found a moment to talk about the 2nd anniversary of Shun.

In fact, his birthday is officially on the 16th April, considering that this is the date that his authenticity card indicates, but I celebrate since the time he's with me, whose head arrived on the 25th April. Remember that Shun is a hybrid with an Angel of Dream head and a Dollzone body.

As I have said several time, it's been a good choice to purchase this head and this way to use the body I had left. After seeing the next photos I took and you're going to see, I still reaffirm it.

Hoy quiero empezar esta entrada dándole la bienvenida a las nuevas seguidoras. Muchas gracias por haber decido quedaros por aquí y espero que vuestra estancia sea agradable.

El pasado 25 de Abril fue el 2º aniversario de Shun. Ese día no pude hacer fotos ni subir la entrada porque fui a Barcelona por la primera edición de la "Harajuku Fashion Walk", organizado por la tienda de moda japonesa Madame Chocolate. Os hablaré sobre ello en mi próxima entrada. 

Después he estado liada con cosas de mi vida cotidiana que me han impedido publicar esta entrada, pero como es mejor tarde que nunca, por fin hoy he encontrado el momento de hablar sobre el 2º aniversario de Shun.

En realidad, su cumpleaños de forma oficial es el 16 de Abril, ya que esa es la fecha que indica su tarjeta de autenticidad, pero yo celebro el tiempo que lleva conmigo, cuya cabeza llegó el día 25 de Abril. Recordad que Shun es un híbrido con cabeza de Angel of Dream y cuerpo de Dollzone.

Como ya he dicho varias veces, fue un acierto comprar esta cabeza y así aprovechar el cuerpo suelto que tenía y después de ver las siguientes fotos que hice y vais a ver, lo sigo reafirmando.

Winter Walk · Paseo invernal

A few days ago I took Shun outside with my mother (she helps me to watch the doll while I take photos) to take winter photos of him, but everything went wrong. First I show you the photos and later I'll tell you the adventure. 

Hace unos días que saqué a Shun junto a mi madre (me ayuda a vigilar al muñeco mientras hago fotos) para hacerle unas fotos invernales, pero todo salió mal. Primero os enseño las fotos y después os cuento la aventura.

Recast is killing the hobby, as simple as that. Why? I read that Lillycat has been a victim of recast, being her mold Constantine the recasted doll. Are you seeing what this means? Another artist who spends a lot of hours, days and even weeks to sculpt one of her dolls, has been a victim of recast. Prorecast has contributed to this theft and Lillycat may feel sad and wondering why people can be as fake and prefer to purchase a non legit doll instead of hers, who's who deserves it because she's the sculptor, not Luo Lugui, who is enriched at the expence of the work of others who HAVE worked. A few months ago I wrote a post to say why I don't and will never support recast.

Yesterday I saw in flickr something very interesting to support BJD artists. All you have to do today, Sunday 16th November, is to take a photo of one of your doll with a supportive message, submit it everywhere: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, with the tag: #proBjdArtists

I want to give a big hug to saskha for this great idea.

I thought I wouldn't be in time to participate, but here are two pics of our dolls supporting BJD artists. All our BJDs, Chinese and Korean, are legit and we (my mother and me) are proud to have saved for months and/or years to purchase them.

El recast está matando el hobby, tan simple como eso. ¿Por qué? He leído que Lillycat ha sido víctima del recast, siendo su molde Constantine la muñeca recasteada. ¿Sabéis lo que significa esto? Otra artista que se ha pasado horas, días e incluso semanas para esculpir una de sus muñecas, ha sido víctima del recast. Pro-recast ha contribuido a este robo y Lillycat se debe sentir mal y preguntándose porqué la gente es tan falsa que prefiere comprar un muñeco no legítimo en lugar del suyo, que es quien se lo merece por ser la escultora, no Luo Ligui, que se enriquece a costa del trabajo de otras personas que SÍ se han esforzado. Hace unos meses escribí una entrada para explicar porqué no estoy ni estaré a favor del recast.

Ayer vi en flickr algo muy interesante para apoyar a los artistas de BJDs. Lo que hay que hacer hoy, Domingo 16 de Noviembre, es hacer una foto a uno de tus muñecos con un mensaje de apoyo y subirlo a todas partes: FB, tumblr, dA, Flikr, Twitter, Instagram, con el tag: #proBjdArtists

Quiero darle un abrazo enorme a saskha por esta gran idea.

Pensé que no me daría tiempo participar, pero aquí están las dos fotos que he hecho de nuestros muñecos apoyando a los artistas de BJDs. Todos nuestros BJD, chinos y coreanos, son legítimos y nosotras (mi madre y yo) estamos orgullosas de haber ahorrado durante meses y/o años para comprarlos. 

Adventurer's Club - July: Travel Case

I have finally taken the photos for the Adventurer's Club challenge. Like last month, I knew exactly what to do for this challenge, "Travel Case". , but between one thing and another, I haven't been able to take these photos until almost the last moment.

So for this challenge I'm going to show you how I carry my dolls when I take the very few photos outside.

Por fin he hecho las fotos para el reto del Adventurer's Club. Como el mes pasado, sabía perfectamente qué hacer para este reto, "Travel Case" (Maleta de viaje), pero entre unas cosas y otras, no pude hacer las fotos hasta casi el último momento.

Pues para este reto os voy a enseñar cómo transporto a mis muñecos cuando hago las escasísimas fotos en exterior.

The shoes of our BJDs · Los zapatos de nuestros BJDs

This post is dedicated to Yami Mae, I promised her to take the photos you're going to see. That said, to the point.

Last Sunday 22nd I went with my friends Nadia and Chandrama to a doll meetup from which I'll write in my next post. Mainly, the reason why I went to this meetup was because someone had to hand deliver boots for Byron from a shared order processing to Angell Studio from a Spanish forum about BJDs. The waiting time was eternal because although the order was made in January, the parcel was in customs for around 3 months. The important thing is that Byron already has his boots:

Esta entrada está dedicada a Yami Mae, que le prometí hacer las fotos que a continuación vais a ver. Dicho esto, al tema. 

El pasado domingo día 22 fui con mis amigas Nadia y Chandrama a una quedada de la que escribiré en mi próxima entrada. Principalmente, el motivo por el que fui a esta quedada fue porque me tenían que entregar en mano unas botitas que pedí para Byron en un pedido conjunto a Angell Studio a través del BJDoll. El tiempo de espera fue eterna porque aunque el pedido se hizo en enero, el paquete cayó en aduanas y lo retuvieron cerca de 3 meses, si es que no llegó. Lo importante es que Byron ya tiene sus botitas:

Aren't they cool? Although what I promised to Yami Mae wasn't this photo, is what you're going to see below. Isn't nothing but photos of ALL the footwear our dolls have. I know that when you'll see them, more than one will think that we're crazy, but we admit it because we love that all our dolls have variety of shoes and clothes to combine because we think is boring to see them wearing always the same clothes and shoes. If they can't wear something a year, we make it to the next and so it doesn't give the impression that they always wear the same outfits.

¿Verdad que son muy chulas? Aunque lo que le prometí a Yami Mae no fue esta foto, si no lo que vais a ver a continuación, que no es otra cosa que fotos de TODOS los zapatos que tienen nuestros muñecos. Sé que cuando los veáis, más de uno va a pensar que estamos locas, pero lo reconocemos, ya que nos encanta que todos nuestros muñecos tengan variedad de zapatos y ropa para combinar entre sí porque nos aburre verlos siempre con la misma ropa y calzado. Si algo no se lo pueden poner un año, se lo ponemos al siguiente y así no da la impresión de que van vestidos siempre igual.

52 pairs of shoes and boots among all the dolls! XD Although in truth, they really should have been less because Danielle has inherited shoes that are small for Toshi (feet of hobbit) or Maiko (feet of hobbit). For example, the high heels were originally bought for Maiko but she can't keep standing with her high feet because they are wobbly and therefore, we decide that Danielle keeps these shoes. Fortunately, Maiko keeps standing perfectly with her high feet wearing high heels boots. Thinking about it, I have bough to Danielle five pairs of shoes/boots, the other footwear have been inherited.

Maiko has also inherited boots that were for Toshi and it made me very angry. But it was impossible to zip up these boots and they even burst. Lucky that they didn't break and Maiko can take advantage of them.

And of course, sometimes our SD exchange their shoes (except Byron, his feet are even bigger than a hobbit's feet).

Finally, a bonus photos of the biggest footwear with the smaller XD 

¡52 pares de zapatos y botas entre todos los muñecos! XD Aunque a decir verdad, en realidad deberían haber sido menos ya que Danielle ha heredado zapatos que no le venían bien a Toshi (pies de hobbit) o de Maiko (pies de hobbit). Por ejemplo, los zapatos de tacón que tiene eran originariamente de Maiko pero ella no se mantiene de pie con los pies de tacón porque le bailan los pies y por lo tanto, decidimos que se los quedase Danielle. Por fortuna, Maiko aguanta de pie perfectamente con las botas de pie de tacón. Mirándolo bien, a Danielle le compré cinco pares de zapatos/botas, el resto de calzado es heredado.

Maiko también ha heredado botas que eran para Toshi y me dio mucha rabia. Pero al pobre no le subía la cremallera de las botas y las llegó a reventar. Suerte que no se rompieron y Maiko puede aprovecharlas. 

Y por supuesto que a veces intercambian calzado entre los SD (excepto Byron, que sus pies son aún más grandes que los de un hobbit).

The first anniversary of Shun · El primer aniversario de Shun

Today makes a year of the arrival of Shun. In fact, of his head, although his birthday was last 16th since that's the date shown on his certificate of authenticity. As usual, I have taken some photos to celebrate his first year with me.

Although it wasn't in my plans to have this character or this doll that I bought for the circumstances, I'm impressed for how much I like both the doll like the character, now more developed.

And now, the photos.

Hoy hace un año de la llegada de Shun. En realidad, de su cabeza, aunque el día 16 fue su cumpleaños, ya que es la fecha que pone en su certificado de autenticidad. Así como de costumbre, he hecho unas fotos para celebrar su primer año conmigo.

A pesar de que no tenía pensado tener este personaje ni este muñeco al comprarlo por las circunstancias, me ha impresionado lo mucho que me han gustado tanto el muñeco como el personaje, ahora más desarrollado.

P.S.: This is the first shoot I upload since I fixed the problem about authomatic settings. Now photos are like they should be (not so good photo editing is my fault, XD). Even the quality has improved by not having so much pixelated as before. 

P.D.: Esta es la primera sesión que subo desde que solucioné el problema de los ajustes automáticos. Ahora sí se ven las fotos como debe ser (la no tan buena edición fotográfica es cosa mía, XD). Incluso la calidad ha mejorado al no tener tanto pixelado como anteriormente.

Stylish and Sexy guy · Chico elegante y sexy

Before I talk about the main topic, the regulars to my blog may have noticed that I have been making a few changes to the blog in order to make it nice, balanced and easier to navigate. It needs a few updates yet, like dolls profiles and little more, although slowly I'm completing it and I really like the current design of the blog. I feel comfortable with this one and its look is like I wanted. What do you think about it?

Now here's the promised shoot of Shun with his new clothes (mental note: I have to take photos of all his clothes and shoes for the "Wardrobe" section). This shoot is divided into two parts and it's dedicated to Yami Mae because she gave me for my birthday part of the clothes Shun. In the first one, you can see him wearing the black vest and in the second one, wearing the tartan shirt. For it, I have taken the photos as if they were two different shoots, though this entry is going to be very long xD As said, here are the photos.

Antes de hablar sobre el tema principal, los asiduos a mi blog os habréis dado cuenta de que he ido haciendo unos pequeños cambios en el blog para que quede bonito, equilibrado y más fácil de navegar en él. Aún falta actualizar los temas de los perfiles de los muñecos y poquito más, aunque poco a poco lo voy completando y me gusta mucho el diseño actual del blog. Con este me siento bien y está quedando tal y como quería. ¿Qué os parece a vosotros?

Ahora sí, aquí está la prometida sesión de Shun con su ropa nueva (nota mental: tengo que hacer fotos de toda su ropa y calzado para la sección "Guardarropa"). La sesión está dividida en dos partes y está dedicada a Yami Mae ya que parte de la ropa que lleva Shun me la envió por mi cumpleaños. En la primera lo podéis ver con el chaleco negro y en la segunda con la camisa a cuadros. Para ello, he hecho las fotos como si de dos sesiones distintas se tratasen, aunque va a quedar una entrada larguísima xD. Dicho esto, os dejo las fotos.

PART 1 

Stilish · Elegante

In this first part, Shun wears the vest along with other clothing he already has (jeans belong to Toshi). I wanted to show his elegant but modern and but elegant and stylish part. Photos aren't as good as I wanted T__T

En esta primera parte, Shun lleva el chaleco junto con otra ropa que ya tenía (los vaqueros son de Toshi). He querido mostrar su parte moderna pero elegante y con estilo. Las fotos no han salido tan bien como quería T__T
