When last week I visited my grandmother in the nursing home where she currently lives, I took two of my Monster High dolls to take photos in the huge backyard of the nursing home. Below I show you photos of the chosen ones, the couple formed by Ophion (Deuce Gorgon) and Venus (Venus McFlytrap).

Cuando fui la semana pasada a visitar a mi abuela en la residencia donde actualmente vive, me llevé a dos de mis muñecos Monster High para hacer fotos en el enorme patio que tiene la residencia. A continuación os muestro fotos de los elegidos, la parejita formada por Ophion (Deuce Gorgon) y Venus (Venus McFlytrap).

This time I haven't left for the last moment the challenge of the "Adventurers Club". The theme for this month is "True Love?", so I have thought about making a mini-photo shoot of all our "Monster High" couples taking advantage that today is this silly Valentine's Day. Before anyone gets angry with me, the dolls DO NOT represent the official characters. 

El amor está en el aire

Esta vez no he dejado para el último momento el reto del "Adventurers Club". El tema de este mes es "True Love?" (¿Amor verdadero?), así que he pensado en hacer una mini-sesión de todas las parejitas "Monster High" que tenemos aprovechando que hoy es este día tan tonto San Valentín. Antes de echarme la bronca, los muñecos NO representan a los personajes oficiales.

Gillington "Gil" Webber & Deuce Gorgon Arrival · Llegada

As you know, Santa Claus brought me the "Manster" pack, with Gillington "Gil" Webber and Deuce Gorgon and Twyla "13 Wishes". I haven't uploaded photos of their arrivals, so today I'm going to show you the arrival of the boys.

Como ya sabéis, Papá Noel me trajo el pack "Manster", con Gillington "Gil" Webber y Deuce Gorgon y a Twyla "13 Monstruodeseos". Aún no he subido las fotos de sus llegadas, así que hoy os voy a mostrar la llegada de los dos chicos.

New Year, Adventurers Club and Resolutions · Año nuevo, Adventurers Club y Propósitos 2015

We are already in 2015, I will always say that time flies without realizing. I want thanks all those people who visit my blog, no matter if it's only to read the posts I write or see my photos and the new followers who have decided to follow me this year. A big hug for everyone.

The "Adventurers Club" game finished in December, the last topic was "Festivities". Yesterday I took a couple photos of the group Monster Haunt to congratulate the new year and I participated in the group of the AC on flickr with one of those photos.

In my previous post I talked about the resolutions for 2014 and which were completed and which not. So now I'll talk about the purposes for 2015, but like last year, I'll do what I please and won't complete all because I don't like lists, if I do it here is just to have some fun XD

Ya estamos en 2015, siempre diré que el tiempo vuela sin darnos cuenta. Quiero daros las gracias a todas esas personas que visitan mi blog aunque solo sea para leer las entradas que escribo o ver mis fotografías y a l@s nuevos seguidores/as que han decidido seguirme durante este año. Un abrazo enorme para tod@s.

En Diciembre terminó el juego "Adventurers Club", cuyo tema final fue "Festivities". Ayer hice un par de fotos a los miembros del grupo Monster Haunt para felicitar el nuevo año y con una de esas fotos participé en el grupo del AC en flickr.

En mi anterior entrada hablé sobre los propósitos de 2014 y cuáles se cumplieron y cuáles no. Así que ahora os hablaré de los propósitos que me voy a poner para el 2015, aunque como el pasado año, haré lo que me de la gana y no lo cumpliré todo porque no soy de hacer listas, por aquí lo hago por entretenimiento XD

New monsters for Christmas · Nuevos monstruos por Navidad

Yes, new monsters came home. Let's say that I given to myself the dolls Gillington Webber and Twyla for Christmas because we don't celebrate Christmas and neither have the habit to give presents for this date (do you notice that I hate Christmas?). The new Deuce Gorgon that has come home belongs to my mother because I already have one.

I present to Adam (Gillington 'Gil' Webber), Sharon (Twyla) and Zarek (Deuce Gorgon), twin brother of Ophion.

Pues sí, llegaron nuevos monstruitos a casa. Por Navidad digamos me autoregalé a los muñecos Gillington Webber y a Twyla ya que no celebramos la navidad ni tenemos la costumbre de regalarnos cosas por estas fechas (¿se nota que detesto la Navidad?). El nuevo Deuce Gorgon que ha llegado a casa es de mi madre porque yo ya tengo uno.

Monster Haunt

In the arrivals of some of our "Monster High" dolls I said that I had planned something interesting with them. The moment to reveal the surprise has come! Please welcome the Gothic/Symphonic Metal band "Monster Haunt":

En las llegadas de algunos de nuestros muñecos "Monster High" comenté que tenía pensado algo interesante con ellos. ¡Ya ha llegado el momento de desvelar esa sorpresa! Demos la bienvenida al grupo de Metal Gótico/Sinfónico "Monster Haunt": 

Viperine Gorgon Arrival - Llegada

Last week my mother and I completed our "Monster High" doll collection (or until we like other new dolls enough as to buy them, we know how this works... ¬_¬), so today is the turn to introduce Viperine Gorgon, daughter of the gorgon Estheno and therefore, Deuce Gorgon's cousin.

We liked this doll when we saw it online, but in person captivated us. We took advantage that we went to the mall "Carrefour" to look for a mop strainer, the accessory for the bucket, that there's no way to find it and in passing we went to our favourite section: toys! And there was Viperine, from the collection "Frights! Camera! Action!", a little more expensive than other dolls, but as we had a discount ticket, we used it and this way was a little cheaper XD Although I must say that the doll belongs to my mother.

Another thing we liked was that the character was inspired in Barcelona, the city where I was born! It was something very funny and couldn't miss it in our collection. In her diary mentioned Vampcelona (or Barcelgroana in other countries, I don't know why these name change from country to country). Although I must say that I find it strange that they have decided that the character isn't greek.

And as we do with some of our MH dolls that we don't like their official name, we have changed her name for a very Catalan one, Montserrat (or Montse, for short). For those who don't know the origin of this name, comes from the mountain Montserrat, which gives name to the Virgin and monastery of Montserrat. The meaning of the name literally means "serrated mountain". You can read more information and see photos of this so peculiar mountain and tourist place here. And as curiosity, there are many stories about mysterious disappearances in this mountain, among other legends.

La semana pasada conseguimos entre mi madre y yo completar nuestra colección de muñecas "Monster High" (hasta que saquen o veamos alguna muñeca que nos llame suficientemente la atención como para comprarla, que esto ya sabemos cómo funciona... ¬_¬ ), así que hoy le toca el turno a la llegada de Viperine Gorgon, hija de la gorgona Esteno y por lo tanto, prima de Deuce Gorgon.

Esta muñeca nos gustó mucho cuando la vimos por Internet, pero en persona nos cautivó. Aprovechamos que fuimos al "Carrefour" para mirar un escurridor para el cubo de fregar suelos, que no hay manera de encontrarlo y de paso fuimos a nuestra sección favorita: ¡juguetes! Y allí estaba Viperine, de la colección "¡Monstruos! ¡Cámara! ¡Acción!", un poquito más cara que otras muñecas, pero como teníamos un descuento, pues lo aprovechamos  y nos salió un poquito más barata XD Aunque he de decir que la muñeca pertenece a mi madre.

Otro dato que nos gustó fue que el personaje estuviese inspirado en Barcelona, ¡la ciudad donde nací! Fue algo que nos hizo mucha gracia y no podía faltar en nuestra colección y en su diario menciona a Vampcelona (o Barcelgroana en otros países, no sé porqué cambian estos nombres de un país a otro). Aunque debo decir que se me hace raro que hayan decidido que el personaje no sea griego.

Y como solemos hacer con algunos muñecos MH de los que no nos gusta su nombre oficial, le hemos cambiado el nombre por uno muy catalán, Montserrat (o Montse, para abreviar). Para aquellos que no conocen el origen del nombre, proviene de la montaña de Monsterrat, la que le da nombre a la Virgen y monasterio de Montserrat. El significado del nombre significa literalmente "monte aserrado". Podéis leer más información y ver fotos de esta montaña tan curiosa y lugar turístico aquí. Y como dato curioso, hay muchas historias sobre desapariciones misteriosas en esta montaña, entre otras leyendas.

Monskater

I haven't taken photos of my Monster High dolls for a long time, so I took Ophion (MH Deuce Gorgon) and took photos of him outside.

Taking photos outside is really fun, these ones are taken in a park from the town I live. By the way, the skateboard belongs to Daisuke, but it fits MH dolls pretty well.

Hace tiempo que no les hago fotos a mis muñecos Monster High, así que cogí a Ophion (MH Deuce Gorgon) y le hice fotos en la calle.

Hacer fotos fuera es muy divertido, estas fotos están hechas en un parque que hay en mi ciudad. Por cierto, el monopatín es de Daisuke, pero les queda bien a los muñecos MH.

February adventure · Aventura de Febrero

I haven't taken photos of my MH for weeks, so for the "Adventure's Club" challenge I have taken photos of my Deuce Gorgon. The theme for February is "Local Attraction", so my little monster has made an excursion to Giantpolis. By the way, I want to comment that he finally has a name. I've decided to name him Ophion. It's a Greek name meaning "snake", which is perfect for the kind of monster he is.

Hacía semanas que no le hacía fotos a mis MH, así que por motivo del reto Adverturer's Club, he hecho unas fotos a mi Deuce Gorgon. Para el mes de febrero, el tema es "Atracción Local", así que mi monstruito ha hecho una excursión a Giganpolis. Ya de paso, quiero comentar que por fin tiene nombre, he decidido llamarle Ophion. Es un nombre griego cuyo significado es "serpiente", que le viene perfecto por el tipo de monstruo que es.

Ophion has been on Giantpolis city on excursion and as a good sportsman, he has visited the museum where sports trophies are exposed.
Ophion fue de excursión a la ciudad Giganpolis y como buen deportista que es, visitó un museo donde están expuestos los trofeos deportivos. 

Ophion: These trophies are bigger than me and weigh a ton I can't steal any, but the guy with the bike is my size 

Estos trofeos son más grandes que yo y pesan una tonelada no podré robar ninguno, aunque el tío de la bici es de mi tamaño

Ophion: The cup is huuuuge! I could almost take a bath in and refresh my snakes

It's time to introduce our small collection of... "Monster High" dolls! Maybe you're surprised, but people who know me well, know that I like gothic and monsters themes, so it's not surprising that I ended buying this kind of dolls although they're "posh".

Ha llegado el momento para presentar a nuestra pequeña coleccion de... ¡Muñecas "Monster High"! Aunque puede que os sorprendáis, las personas que me conocen bien saben que de siempre me ha gustado el tema gótico y monstruoso, así que tampoco era de extrañar que terminase comprando una muñeca de estas por muy "pijas" que sean.

I haven't introduced these doll 'till now because I haven't taken photos of them and neither have played with them before, but from now on I promise to show them more often.

Las muñecas no las he presentado hasta ahora porque no les he hecho fotos ni he trasteado con ellas antes, pero a partir de ahora, prometo enseñarlas más.

Draculaura is mine, of course. Vampires are my downfall xD She doesn't have a name yet.

Draculaura es mía, como no. Los vampiros son mis perdición xD Aún no tiene nombre.

Deuce Gorgon is also mine. I haven't given him a name yet, I'll thing of some that I like. As I already told in my artworks blog, I like the character of Medusa and behold, her soon was a very good price and I bought it. I wanted to have a monster-boy, but they're extremely hard to find and when I find one I like, it comes with a girl doll I'm not interested in or costs a fortune. Fortunately, the gorgon boy was affordable and here he is.

Deuce Gorgon también es mío. Aún no le he puesto nombre, ya se me ocurrirá alguno que me guste. Ya conté por mi blog artístico que me gusta el personaje de Medusa y mira por dónde, su hijo estaba a muy buen precio y me lo compré. Quería un chico-monstruo, pero son tremendamente difíciles de encontrar y cuando encuentro uno, o viene acompañado por una muñeca que no me interesa o cuesta un dineral. Por fortuna el gorgona chico estaba a buen precio y aquí está.

Lastly, Clawdeen belongs to my mother and has named her Wendy. Is the "Wonder Wolf" edition, although in the photos she's wearing outfits of other monster, Toralei. It will be fun to have a vampire girl and an she-wolf as friends.

Por último, Clawdeen es de de mi madre y le ha llamado Wendy. Es la edición "Wonder Wolf", aunque en las fotos lleva un conjunto de otra monstruita, Toralei. Será divertido tener una vampira y una chica-lobo como amigas.
