As you know, Santa Claus brought us three dolls for Christmas. Already I introduced Howleen Wolf and Raven Queen, so today I finally introduce Cerise Hood.
I mentioned I don't like Ever After High, although they are beautiful. Despite not having planned to buy any, Raven Queen and Cerise Hood are the only ones that I like and I had the chance to get them for 9.90€ at Toys' R Us, a big difference knowing that it was sold for more than 30€ and later for around 25€. I must remind that these dolls have been removed in Spain (I don't know why), and that makes me think they lowered the price in order to sell easily the ones they had in stock.

Out of the box you can see the doll is cute and quality is similar to Monster High dolls, although the body is somewhat different. This is the basic edition.

Cerise has a Punk look in black, red and grey tones. Her hair is brown with thin white streaks in the bangs.

The hood was attached to the doll head with a piece of plastic that I removed.
La capucha estaba enganchada a la cabeza de la muñeca con una pieza de plástico que quité.
I like the Punk style of Cerise's clothes and accessories. She's not the typical doll dressed with a princess dress and I like she wears leggings. The design of her boots is beautiful, I like the detail of the fringes and buckles. But the cape is ugly, it doesn't have a nice hang and the design is hideous, although the pattern is nice.

You see, a real filth. I tried to wash it up even with degreaser, but it doesn't disappear because the stain has completely penetrated the fabric.

Those stains are what have caused the hood is in that state. Seems something greasy that I can't figure out what can be. At first I thought it would be the wax that they often put in the dolls hair, but now I think it was something from the factory when adding those plastic parts in the head.

She doesn't has human ears, rather they are elvish. In the series they are wolfish and larger.

The comb is key-shaped and the stand has a beautiful design with transparent and black pieces, although I'm not using it because I have Cerise sitting on a shelf. As I mentioned in my previous post, I've reached the point where I can't have more dolls using their stand due to lack of room, ahem.
El peine tiene forma de llave y su peana tiene un diseño bonito con piezas transparentes y negras, aunque no la he usado porque tengo a Cerise sentada en una estantería. Como comenté en mi entrada anterior, he llegado al punto en el que no puedo tener más muñecas en su peana por problemas de espacio, ejem.
The bookmark includes a little story about Cerise, entirely in Spanish with illustrations. It's somehow childish, but it helps to understand the situation of the character in the story.
And here ends the review of the doll. Although I'm not an EAH doll collector, I like the doll and don't regret to have her. Her Punk look and non-princess alike was what I liked about her and in person is very beautiful.

Pues de todas las que he visto hasta ahora esta es la EAH que más me ha gustado, también tiene que ver que la temática de caperucita roja siempre me ha gustado, aunque para ser sinceros me resulta mucho más atractiva como la pintan en el dibujo que has mostrado de la serie.

Lo bueno, es que has podido conseguir las que querías a muy buen precio, y eso es estupendo.
La muñeca en persona es muy bonita, fue la segunda en la que me fijé tras Raven. El resto la verdad es que no me llaman porque me parecen todas iguales XD Y sí, es más atractiva en el dibujo, las muñecas tienen todas la misma "cara bollo".
EliminarLo del manchurrón no me lo esperaba, pero tras investigar vi que fue algo común. Una lástima el poco cuidado que tienen con el precio que tenían, así que aún suerte que pude conseguirla tirada de precio.

yo también tengo a cerise y destaco dos cosas que has comentado y con las que coincido:
ResponderEliminar1) manchón en la capa, igual que la tuya. y la caja también traía un poco de guarrería como la que enseñas... y yo tampoco he podido quitarla las manchas. menos mal que son por detrás... eso me consuela un poco.
2) las orejas tenían que haber sido mucho más lobunas, como las de su personaje en los dibujos. eso la hubiese dado un punto muy chulo.
pero bueno, la muñeca es muy chula, es mi favorita de las ever after high... así que la perdono esas cosillas ^_^
Ya veo que el tema de las manchas ha sido muy común y el que consiguiese una sin esa guarrería tuvo mucha suerte. Qué poco cuidado por parte de la fábrica por utilizar productos que pueden estropear las muñecas y su ropa. Y tal y como dices, aún suerte que es por detrás y en las fotos apenas se van a ver.
Eliminar¿Verdad? La gracia del personaje está en sus orejitas lobunas. Por flickr he visto fotos de gente que le ha customizado las orejas a Cerise y queda muy chula. Aún así, también soy feliz por tener esta muñeca en mi colección.
