Hi! This is going to be a long post. And despite the title, it's not related with BJD's

My laptop got into a coma last Saturday September 15th. I was about to write a new post in this blog when suddently, the screen went white with colored horizontal stripes. I turned off the computer and turned it on after a while, but it didn't started and the light pilot indicated that the hard drive didn't work, and next appeared the text "Err1Err3" and "Operating System not found" when pressing F8 or other key. I tried several times, but the result was always the same. Solution? To buy a new laptop because I thought the repair could get expensive and for that, I preferred to opt for a new purchase to avoid more scares.

I was angry because, apparently, I've lost some files I didn't save  in the external hard drive, as several of my last digital artworks, which now only have watermarked copies on lousy resolution that I've uploaded on MB, pixiv and my artworks blog. I've also lost a drawing I was working on which was almost finished. I needed to add a background only. Some photos are also lost. Fortunately, the ones taken with my camera, are all safe in the external hard drive and camera cards, so I have only lost edited copies (some already prepared to be upload for a post this blog) and this means it's not as serious as I can edit them again. And certain files I can't remember right now but I will miss when needed, are also lost.

The little I had on music and video, was saved in my external hard drive at the time. Am one who prefers to listen to music on a good stereo and watching movies, series or concerts on the flat-screen TV. Therefore, I hardly use my computer to listen to music or watching videos.

Five years enjoyed of good health my laptop. It didn't gave me a single problem until about half a year ago, when the sound began to fail. And just when I thought take to repair it, it disgusts me. When I finally had my new laptop at home, I searched on the Internet any possible solution to repair my old laptop, but nothing worked and over, the fucked disc reader swallowed the recovery disc and I can't get it out, so my intention is to take it to rapain in future and as I see, I'll decide whether it's worth repairing it or at least, if it's possible to retrieve the files.

Now I have an "Asus A55VD", much more powerful than my old "Compaq Pressario V6000". Differences between them? Among others:

Asus

- Operating system: Windows 7.
- Integrated Webcam (which I'm not going to use, so...)
- 6GB of RAM and 500GB of storage.
- Extended keyboard

Compaq

- Operating system: Windows 7.
- No integrated Webcam (and not missed it).
- 2GB of RAM and 160GB of storage.
- No extended keyboard

For some other forums I've read my new acquisition is pretty good, although I was quite surprised in a detail. Many people complained that it lacks luster. Really? I have to say that in my opinion, it has too much! In fact, I have it to a minimum and I still find it a lot and would turn it down even more if I could.

In short, we see this as a new era. Everything has a beginning and an end. Although it wasn't in my plans to make such a big expenditure T_T

¡Buenas! Entrada larga donde las haya... Y a pesar del título, no me refiero al tema BJDs.

Mi portátil entró en coma crítico el pasado sábado 15 de septiembre. Estaba a punto de escribir una entrada en este blog, y así, de repente, la pantalla se puso blanca con rayas horizontales de colores. Apagué el ordenador y volví a encenderlo pasado un rato, pero no iniciaba y el piloto luminoso del disco duro indicaba que no funcionaba, apareciendo en la pantalla el texto "Err1Err3" y "Operating System not found" al pulsar F8 u otra tecla. Lo probé varias veces, pero el resultado era siempre el mismo. ¿Solución? Comprar otro portátil nuevo ya que pensé que la reparación podría salir cara y para eso, preferí optar por una compra nueva y así evitar más sustos.

Me dio rabia porque aparentemente, he perdido documentos que no guardé en el disco duro externo, como varios de mis últimos dibujos digitales, de los que ahora solo conservo las copias de pésima resolución con marcas de agua que subí en  MB, pixiv y mi otro blog . También tengo perdido un dibujo en el que estaba trabajando y tenía casi terminado al que tan solo me faltaba añadirle un fondo. Algunas fotos también están perdidas. Afortunadamente, las que he hecho con mi cámara, están todas a salvo entre el disco duro y las tarjetas de la cámara, así que el haber perdido fotos retocadas (algunas ya preparadas para subir en este blog) tampoco es tan grave ya que puedo volver a retocarlas. Y también he perdido algún que otro archivo que ahora mismo no recuerdo pero ya echaré en falta cuando lo necesite.

Lo poco que tenía guardado de música y vídeo ya lo guardé en el disco duro externo en su momento. Soy de las que prefiere escuchar música en un buen equipo de audio y ver pelis, series o conciertos en la pantalla plana y a lo grande. Por lo tanto, el ordenador apenas lo utilizo para escuchar música o ver vídeos.

Cinco años disfrutó de buena salud mi portátil. No me dio ni un solo problema hasta hace aproximadamente medio año, cuando empezó a fallarle el sonido. Y justo cuando tenía pensado llevarlo a reparar, me da el disgusto. En cuanto tuve mi nuevo portátil en casa, busqué alguna solución posible por Internet para reparar mi antiguo portátil, pero nada funcionaba y encima, el jodío se tragó el disco de recuperación y no puedo sacarlo, así que mi intención es llevarlo reparar en un futuro y según vea, ya decidiré si merece la pena la reparación o si al menos, se pueden recuperar los archivos.

Ahora tengo un "Asus A55VD", mucho más potente que mi "Compaq presario V6000". ¿Las diferencias? Entre otras:

ASUS

- Sistema operativo: Windows 7.
- Webcam integrada (Que para no usarla, igual me da).
- 6GB de memoria ram y 500GB de almacenamiento.
- Teclado extendido.

Compaq

- Sistema operativo: Windows Vista.
- No tiene Webcam integrada (y no la echaba en falta).
- 2GB de memoria RAM y 160GB de almacenamiento.
-No tiene teclado extendido.

Por algún que otro foro ha leído que mi nueva adquisición está bastante bien, aunque me sorprendió bastante un detalle. Mucha gente se quejaba porque le falta brillo. ¿En serio? Tengo que decir que para mi gusto, ¡tiene demasiado! De echo, lo tengo al mínimo y me sigue pareciendo bastante y aún lo bajaría más si se pudiese.

En fin, veremos esto como una nueva era. Todo tiene su comienzo y su fin. Aunque no estaba en mis planes hacer un gasto tan grande T_T
