In my previous post I told you that I went to the presentation of the prototype of the Nendoroid of Arale Norimaki. The event took place on the 20th and 21st 2018 at the Norma Comics store in Barcelona. I went on the 21st.

En la tienda habilitaron una esquina para la presentación, donde estaba el prototipo de la figura y una pantalla donde iban apareciendo distintas fotos de Arale.

The event was hosted by O Utsumiya, the representative of Good Smile Company in Europe, Mélytan, marketing manager of Good Smile Company in Europe and Alberto, administrator of Mechanical Japan. The organization was run by SD Distribuciones.
Utsumiya explained what the process of producing a figure is like, from the initial idea to the finished product, all explained in English, so Alberto worked as a translator in Spanish. I had the advantage that I could understand a big part in English.
It was quite interesting because you realized all the work behind each figure so that collectors can enjoy them.

They said the reason why Arale Norimaki is the Nendoroid No. 900 and had the presentation of the unpainted prototype in Spain. Querían que fuese un personaje mítico y querido por muchos fans en Europa, ya que la figura está pensada para el público europeo, y Arale fue un personaje que marcó la infancia de muchos coleccionistas. Yo recuerdo haber visto la serie (en catalán, porque no se emitió por ningún canal nacional) y la disfrutaba mucho, así que me hizo bastante ilusión saber que Arale iba a tener su versión en Nendoroid.

The first two photos were taken with my phone camera, there was no way to get them focused with the camera. I also forgot to take photos of two accessories: the split ground piece and the lower part of Arale's body with straight legs.
The figure is very similar to the character and has preserved the style of Akira Toriyama, the author of the series. It also helps that the design of the character resembles the Nendoroid, so I was glad to have the figure in pre-order at that moment and now I have it at home. You have been able to see some photographs of her on the blog and in the near future (I hope) I will publish her review.

Las dos primeras fotos las hice con la cámara de mi móvil, que no hubo forma de que saliesen enfocadas con la cámara de fotos. También se me olvidó hacer fotos de dos accesorios: el suelo partido en dos y la parte inferior del cuerpo de Arale con las piernas rectas.

The answer I received was that it didn't have a released date and they didn't know when it would have it, but it would be released because it's an announced figure. I must say that today and after almost a year later, the figure remains unchanged and I still wonder to what they expect to release it. At first I thought they were waiting for the premiere in Japan of the latest "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, then I thought about the release of the DVD/BluRay and finally I thought of the game "Kingdom Hearts 3" because the character appears in one of the lands of the game and has been released a few weeks ago. At this point, I don't know what to think anymore.
La respuesta que recibí fue que no tenía fecha de salida y no sabían para cuándo la tendrá, pero que salir, iba a salir porque es una figura anunciada. Debo decir que a día de hoy y después de casi un año, la figura sigue sin cambios y sigo preguntándome a qué esperan para sacarla. En un principio pensé que estaban esperando al estreno en Japón de la última película de "Piratas del Caribe", después pensé en la salida del DVD/BluRay y finalmente pensé en el videojuego "Kingdom Hearts 3" ya que el personaje aparece en uno de los mundos del juego y salió a la venta hace poco tiempo. Llegados a este punto, ya no sé qué pensar.
They gave a gift to all the people who asked a question. There were people who were given stickers and others a table calendar. They gave me the calendar and as there were stickers left over, they were distributed among several assistants and they gave me one. The calendar is very beautiful and inside has photos of different Nendoroids.

A todos lo que realicemos una pregunta nos dieron un regalo. Hubo a gente que les dieron unas pegatinas y a otros un calendario de mesa. A mi me dieron el calendario y como sobraron pegatinas, las repartieron entre varios asistentes y me dieron una. El calendario es muy bonito y por dentro tiene fotos de distintos Nendoroids.

Good on you for asking questions Lily, do you think it could be a licensing problem that they haven't been able to release Jack Sparrow? It's rather odd that they have announced him without a release date. I guess you will have to be patient and just keep your fingers crossed it's sooner rather than later. At least you received something for speaking up, the calendar and stickers look great!

EliminarIs normal that figures are announced without a release date, sometimes you have to wait even months for a release date, so that doesn't worry me. I've also thought about a licensing problem because it's a long time already. We'll keep waiting and see if he's finally released.

¡Hola Lily! Si ya quedé maravillada con la entrada anterior, ¡con esta ni te cuento! El Dr. Slump es un anime que marcó mi infancia (también lo vi en catalán, no sé cuántos años se pasaron emitiéndola, tanto la serie original como la nueva versión de los 90) y la figura es genial, muy conseguida. Es una pena que, por el momento, no se puedan hacer de Sailor Moon, otro de los animes que más me gustan (aún me siguen llamando Marinera Lluna mis padres, por eso de que me llamo Marina xD), ojalá algún día cambie la situación. No quiero ni imaginarme lo que puede llegar a pasar cuando tenga casa e ingresos propios, ¡creo que querré hacerme con todas las figuras de películas y series que me gustan!

EliminarTambién he visto las dos versiones de Dr. Slump, es una serie que, junto a Dragon Ball, marcó mi infancia. Ya has visto que la figura es idéntica al personaje y dentro de unos meses van a sacar una versión nueva con el traje de gato y ¡Gatchan!
Tiempo al tiempo, han conseguido la licencia de "Magical Doremi" (acaban de sacar a Doremi y es una auténtica monería), así que igual consiguen la licencia para sacar nendoroids de Sailor Moon.
Ese es el sueño de todos los coleccionistas, poder conseguir todas las figuras de películas y series (y videojuegos) que nos gustan. Pero siempre hay que seleccionar y quedarte con las ganas de alguna figura 😢

Que lindo el calendario! Yo creo que no me habría atrevido a preguntar nada jaja. Que raro que sigan sin sacar a Jack, aunque la verdad no me interesa mucho y en Kingdom Hearts fue el mundo más aburrido a mi gusto jaja.

EliminarHace unos años yo tampoco me abría atrevido a preguntar, es cuestión de quitarse los miedos, jajaja.
Jack me interesa más como personaje de las películas, que me encantan (especialmente la trilogía original), como no he podido jugar al Kindom Hearts no puedo opinar sobre su mundo.
Igual emitieron Dr. Slump hace unos años en tu país, la serie ya tiene bastantes años. Dragon Ball ya es una serie mítica 😄
