I haven't blogged or visited your blogs for months during all this time I have been away, I hope you are all well.
I want to inform you of a couple of issues. The first is that I have changed my username. Lily isn't my real name and I need another more neutral nickname, so now is the time to say goodbye to Lily and welcome Sionnach, my new name.

Hace meses que no escribo en el blog ni visito vuestros blogs durante todo este tiempo en el que he estado ausente, espero que estéis todes bien.
Os quiero informar de un par de asuntos. El primero es que he cambiado mi nombre de usuario. Lily no es mi nombre auténtico y necesito otro apodo más neutro, así que ha llegado el momento de decirle adiós a Lily y darle la bienvenida a Sionnach, mi nuevo nombre.
From now on you can call me Sionnach or Sion, as many of my followers on Instagram have started to call me. Little by little we will get used to it.
The second issue is that although I want to have the blog active and updated, I haven't been able to do so. I already told you that I my laptop was fixed a few months ago because the screen broke and it had a failure with the flex cable. For a while it worked fine, but it has broken down again, I don't know if because the technician did not repair another possible fault.
A couple of months ago I tookit to the computer technician again to have a look at it and since it worked well, he told me that he couldn't give me a diagnosis if he didn't open the laptop, so it would be best if I took it back home and when it fails again , record it on video. He suspects that it may be from the graphics card and the repair wouldn't be very cheap. I already have several videos ready to show them to the technician, the problem is that I am lazy to take it for repair due to the expense that it will entail.
The computer works so-so, I'm very lazy to turn it on because I don't know how long it will work well and I'm afraid to edit photos with Photoshop in case the screen turns white. In fact, I'm taking photos with my smartphone and I edit them with a couple of apps. Today I have made the effort to turn it on and write this entry, in which sometimes horizontal stripes of tenths of a second appear on the screen. Yes, I know that I could write posts with my smartphone (I don't have a tablet). I've tried, actually started writing this post from my phone and had to quit because it's awkward blogging with it. I hope I can take my computer to fix as soon as possible, that the repair is final and thus be able to write normally here again.

A partir de ahora podéis llamarme Sionnach o Sion, como han empezado a llamarme muches de mis seguidores en Instagram. Poco a poco nos iremos acostumbrando.
Es segundo tema es que a pesar de que quiero tener el blog activo y actualizado, no he podido hacerlo. Ya os conté que tuve que reparar mi portátil hace unos meses porque se rompió la pantalla y tuvo un fallo con el cable flex. Durante un tiempo funcionó bien, pero ha vuelto a estropearse, no sé si porque el técnico no reparó otra posible avería.
Hace un par de meses lo llevé para que le echasen un vistazo y como funcionó bien, el técnico de ordenadores me dijo que no podía darme un diagnóstico si no lo abría, que lo mejor sería que me lo llevase a casa y cuando volviese a fallar, grabarlo en vídeo. Sospecha que puede ser de la tarjeta gráfica y la reparación no sería muy barata. Ya tengo varios vídeos preparados para enseñárselo al técnico, el problema es que me da pereza llevarlo a reparar por el gasto que va a conllevar.
El ordenador funciona así así, me da mucha pereza encenderlo porque no sé cuánto tiempo va a funcionar bien y me da miedo editar fotos con Photoshop por si la pantalla se vuelve blanca. De hecho, las fotos las estoy haciendo con mi teléfono móvil y las edito con un par de apps. Hoy he hecho el esfuerzo de encenderlo y escribir esta entrada, en la que en ocasiones en la pantalla aparecen unas rayas horizontales de décimas de segundo. Sí, sé que podría ir escribiendo entradas con mi teléfono móvil (no tengo tablet). Lo he intentado, de hecho, empecé a escribir esta entrada desde mi teléfono y tuve que dejarlo porque es incomodo escribir en el blog con él. Espero poder llevar mi ordenador a reparar lo antes posible, que la reparación sea la definitiva y así poder volver a escribir con normalidad por aquí.

Hi there! I don't know if I will get used to your new name, you will always be Lily to me (it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks). Pity about your computer, maybe it would be easier and perhaps cheaper in the long run to simply save and buy a new one. I must say I am relieved to know it's only the computer that's sick and not you. Take care and hope to see you back posting again soon.

Hi Sandi! I know it will be a bit hard to get used to my new name, but I really needed it. In fact, I planned to change it around 6 years ago.

ResponderEliminarLo del portátil es una faena. A mi también me pasó lo de la pantalla, aunque tuve la suerte que en ese momento me pude permitir cambiarlo por uno nuevo. Es algo muy frustrante, sobre todo si te pasa en un momento que no estás para gastos (como suele pasar). Espero que puedas encontrar una solución pronto y que no te sangren mucho. Entiendo que no quieras escribir entradas con el teléfono, no creo que sea muy práctico, y menos en dos idiomas. No sé si usas la app de Blogger, pero a mi me pareció muy poco práctica.
Espero que encuentres una solución a lo del portátil y que podamos verte pronto por aquí.

EliminarEso es, justo ahora no puedo permitirme gastar en un portátil nuevo. Igual luego es una tontería y sale la reparación más barata de lo que me dijeron, pero da muchísima pereza. Un día lo llevaré a ver qué me dicen ahora que tengo vídeos para mostrar.
No es nada práctico escribir con el teléfono, no funciona muy bien la web y aunque la app no la he probado, parece que es aún peor, así que seguiré escribiendo con el ordenador mientras me deje.
Ya informaré cuando haya encontrado una solución.

ResponderEliminarAs for my computer, that was the second opinion. It works fine if I don't make it work so much but it needs to be fixed if I want to use Photoshop. I'll try to post more often even if my computer has this problem.
