How are you doing these first days of 2023! I hope you have had a happy holiday season and that this new year is good for everyone. You already know that I don't like these festivities, so I haven't celebrated them and it's fine like that.
Although I don't like Christmas, I took a couple of photos that you will see below.
¿Cómo lleváis estos primeros días de 2023! Espero que hayáis pasado unas felices fiestas y que este nuevo año sea bueno para todo el mundo. Ya sabéis que a mí no me gustan estas fiestas, así que no las he celebrado y está bien así.
Con lo bien que llevaba el blog hasta octubre, que fue cuando publiqué por aquí por última vez. Han sido meses movidos y no encontraba el tiempo ni la motivación para publicar, pero aquí estoy de vuelta a pesar de que hay unos asuntos personales que aún tienen que solucionarse. Haré todo lo posible por volver a tener el blog al día.

I wanted to mix terror with Christmas, which is actually how I see it. Some overwhelming festivities and in which it seems that if you don't smile and are happy, you are doing it wrong because these are dates to be happy. That, not to mention how materialistic and consumerist they have become.
Me apeteció mezclar el terror con la Navidad, que en realidad lo veo así. Unas fiestas agobiantes, pesadas y en las que parece que si no sonríes y eres feliz, lo estás haciendo mal porque son fechas para ser feliz. Eso, sin hablar de lo materialistas y consumistas que se han convertido.
Sally - Zero - Jack Skellington (The Nightmare Before Christmas)
These characters couldn't be missing in a Christmas photo. Jack has discovered the Catalan tradition of Tió de Nadal and has wanted to transfer it to the city of Halloween. It seems that he has done it well.
In the next few days I'll try to upload the photos between October and December in order to publish the following entries on their date. On the other hand, not everything has been bad and stressful in this time, on November 5 I went to a Metal concert after 9 years without attending one. In 2021 I started using Spotify to discover new music and thanks to this app I met what is now my favourite band, the German Lord of the Lost. Although I discovered them in 2021 because of their song "Priest", it wasn't until July 2022 when I thought about listening to the complete discography of this band and I liked their songs so much that I started following them on Instagram. Not only do they make good music, they are wonderful people and I have never felt anything like this for a musical band. I found out that they were going to come to Barcelona on their tour and I needed to go to their concert. I can only tell you that it has been one of the best decisions I have taken in my life because apart from the concert, they did a signing session at the Hard Rock Café in Barcelona, I was able to greet them and take a photo with them. The concert was spectacular and when I left the hall after the gig, I was able to take photos with two of them.
The guest bands were two other German bads that are hardly known, Scarlet Dorn and Nachtblut. Thanks to Spotify I was able to listen to their records before going to the concert and I became a fan, especially of Nachtblut. Both bands gave a very good show, although Nachtblut could have easily eaten the headliners as their live shows are brutal. At the after the concert I was also able to take photos with two of the members of Nachtblut and I'm already looking forward to seeing them live again, becoming my favourite band along with LOTL 🖤
And you know the best of everything? That despite misophonia, I was able to enjoy the performances of the three bands without worrying about possible trigger sounds. I recently discovered that according to studies, sounds can become more acceptable when you're doing the same thing as other people, and that's why there are times when trigger sounds don't seem so annoying to me. The brain is complex.
And to end the year, the Lord of the Lost have released a new album by surprise, "Blood and Glitter", so the year couldn't have ended better. I ordered the limited edition Deluxe box set at Napalm Records and it arrived at my house on December 30, the day the album was released. If you like eighties music and Metal, this record may surprise you. Now I'm thinking that I should go back to my personal blog and talk about these topics there, although I don't think I have readers who are interested in these stories. I'll do it anyway and let you know, in case you want to take a look.
And I don't know if you'll remember that I used to draw but I gave up two years ago due to lack of inspiration and will. Well, thanks to Lord of the Lost and Nachtblut I've started doodling again, even if it's to draw fanarts of these bands 😂 Anyway, I look like a teenager talking about these bands. Now all I have to do is say goodbye for today and wish you a good 2023.

Estos personajes no podían faltar en una foto navideña. Jack ha descubierto la tradición catalana del Tió de Nadal y ha querido trasladarla a la ciudad de Halloween. Parece que lo ha hecho bien.
En los próximos días intentaré subir las fotos entre octubre y diciembre para así poder publicar las siguientes entradas en su fecha. Por otra parte, no todo ha sido malo y estresante en este tiempo, el 5 de noviembre fui a un concierto Metal después de 9 años sin asistir a uno. En 2021 empecé a utilizar Spotify para descubrir música nueva y gracias a esta app conocí al que ahora es mi grupo favorito, los alemanes Lord of the Lost. Aunque los descubrí en 2021 por su canción "Priest", no fue hasta julio de 2022 cuando pensé en escuchar la discografía completa de este grupo y me gustaron tanto sus canciones que empecé a seguirlos por Instagram. No sólo hacen buena música, como persona son maravillosos y nunca había sentido algo así por un grupo musical. Me enteré que en su gira iban a venir a Barcelona y tenía la necesidad de ir a su concierto. Solo os puedo decir que ha sido una de las mejores decisiones que he tomado en mi vida porque aparte del concierto, hicieron una sesión de firmas en el Hard Rock Café de Barcelona, les pude saludar y hacerme una foto con ellos. El concierto fue espectacular y al salir de la sala, pude hacerme fotos con dos de ellos.
Los grupos invitados fueron otros dos grupos alemanes que apenas son conocidos, Scarlet Dorn y Nachtblut. Gracias a Spotify pude escuchar sus discos antes de asistir al concierto y me hice fan, sobre todo de Nachtblut. Ambos grupos hicieron una actuación muy buena, aunque Nachtblut podrían haberse comido a los cabeza de cartel fácilmente ya que sus directos son brutales. A la salida del concierto también pude hacerme fotos con dos de los miembros de Nachtblut y ya estoy deseando volver a verles en directo ya que se ha convertido en mi grupo favorito junto con LOTL 🖤
¿Y sabéis lo mejor de todo? Que a pesar de la misofonía, pude disfrutar de las actuaciones de los tres grupos sin preocuparme de posibles sonidos detonantes. Recientemente descubrí que según unos estudios, los sonidos pueden volverse más aceptables cuando estás haciendo lo mismo que las otras personas y es por eso por lo que hay ocasiones en las que los sonidos detonantes no me parecen tan molestos. El cerebro es complejo.
Y para finalizar el año, los Lord of the Lost han sacado un disco nuevo por sorpresa, "Blood and Glitter", así que el año no ha podido acabar mejor. Pedí la edición limitada de la caja Deluxe en la tienda de Napalm Records y me llegó a casa el 30 de diciembre, justo el día del lanzamiento del disco. Si os gusta la música ochentera y el Metal, os puede sorprender este disco. Ahora estoy pensando que debería retomar mi blog personal y hablar de estos temas allí, aunque no creo que tenga lectores a quienes les interese estas historias. Lo haré de todas formas y os avisaré, por si le queréis echar un vistazo.
Y no sé si recordaréis que solía dibujar pero hace dos años que lo dejé por falta de inspiración y ganas. Pues gracias a Lord of the Lost y Nachtblut he vuelto a garabatear, aunque sea para dibujar fanarts de estos grupos 😂 En fin, parezco une adolescente hablando de estas bandas. Ya sólo me queda despedirme por hoy y desearos un buen 2023.
