I'm working on getting the blog up to date, so today I'm finally posting the photos from October 2022. I'll also include the ones from Halloween. The following months I took few photos, so I calculate that in the next post all the photos will be updated on the blog.
Me estoy poniendo las pilas para tener el blog actualizado, así que hoy por fin publico las fotos de octubre de 2022. También incluiré las de Halloween. Los siguientes meses hice pocas fotos, así que calculo que en la próxima entrada estarán todas las fotos actualizadas en el blog.
Cushion (Monster High)
October 4 is World Animal Day, so I decided to take a different photo than I usually do. You know that I'm passionate about animals, I even like insects.
The protagonist of this photo is Cushion, the hedgehog pet of the Monster High Howleen Wolf. After several years missing, these dolls were back again last year, although now they're focused on the collector public and are only sold in the United States. In case you're wondering, I haven't bought nor am I going to buy any of these limited dolls, no matter how beautiful they are. My phase with Monster High is over and I don't feel like fighting with ADT Postcards to get my parcels from out the EU.
El 4 de octubre es el Día Mundial de los Animales, así que opté por hacer una foto diferente a lo que suelo hacer. Ya sabéis que los animales me apasionan, me gustan incluso los insectos.

I took this photo in September, but I forgot to post it. It's not easy to bring Funkos to life in human form, they are expressionless.
Esta foto la hice en septiembre, pero se me olvidó publicarla. No es fácil darles vida a los Funkos de forma humana, son inexpresivos.

This photo has a lot of editing, I have to show you someday the original photos and their respective editions, with this one you would be surprised. It's also one of the editions that I have done and I have liked the most. I have to photograph Thor more often.

With this photo the Halloween 2022 series begins. I don't know how I got the idea to photograph these two characters together. In case you don't understand the story, Jack has consulted her compass and has led him to Pennywise, who has a bottle of rum. As you will remember, the compass doesn't mark the north, it guides you to where you most want.
Con esta foto empieza la serie de Halloween de 2022. No sé cómo tuve la idea de fotografiar a estos dos personajes juntos. Por si no se entiende la historia, Jack ha consultado su brújula y le ha llevado junto a Pennywise, que tiene una botella de ron. Como recordaréis, la brújula no marca el norte, te orienta hacia donde más deseas.

Around that time, my mother and I saw several Funko POP! in the window of a toy store and temptation made us go in and buy this figure. I find it super pretty. Days later I took this photo.
I haven't seen the series yet. I'm not a series person, I'm too lazy to watch them and when I do, it takes me forever to finish them because I'm incapable of binge watching. But I did find out which episode it belongs to.

Por esa fecha, mi madre y yo vimos varios Funko POP! en el escaparate de una juguetería y la tentación nos hizo entrar y comprar esta figura. Me parece súper bonito. Días después le hice esta foto.
La serie aún no la he visto. No soy persona de series, me da mucha pereza verlas y cuando lo hago, tardo una eternidad en terminarlas porque soy incapaz de hacer maratones. Pero sí averigüé a qué episodio pertenece.

Victor and Emily are the other two Funko POP! that we bought for that date. They are very pretty and we found Scraps very cute.
First I took the photo above, but I didn't quite like it and I ended up taking the photo below, which I like better. This is all about moving things around and trying different angles..

Primero hice la foto de arriba, pero no me terminaba de gustar y acabé haciendo la foto de abajo, que me gusta más. En esto es todo cuestión de mover cosas y probar diferentes ángulos.

Headless Horseman · Jinete sin cabeza (Sleepy Hollow)
This photo was a headache. I had recently finished reading the Sleepy Hollow movie novel (which also includes the story the movie is based on) and I was inspired. I knew exactly what I wanted to photograph, the pose, the hybrid of figures. I had everything under control until I started editing and got stuck when editing the character's head. The pumpkin is wearing a witch's hat, which didn't suit the Headless Horseman character, but it leaves a very ugly and rather large hole in it. I tried to edit that area as best I could, but it didn't look right. I also used different brushes to create the fire effect, also unsuccessful. But since I don't give up easily, I kept trying until I managed to cover that hole with a PNG fire image. So you know, if something stagnates, don't despair because sooner or later you will be able to find a solution.
As for the figures I used to make the Headless Horseman the pieces are Link's (The Legend of Zelda - Breathe of the Wild) body and ax, Pyro Jack's head (Shin Megami Tensei) and Dr. Strange's cape. And here the photos of October end, in the next entry I will publish the rest of the photos to date.

Esta foto fue un quebradero de cabeza. Hacía poco que terminé de leer la novela de la película de Sleepy Hollow (que también incluye el relato en el que está inspirada la novela) y me vino la inspiración. Sabía exactamente qué quería fotografiar, la pose, el híbrido de figuras. Todo lo tenía controlado hasta que me puse a editar y me bloqueé al editar la cabeza del personaje. La calabaza lleva un sombrero de brujo, que no quedaba bien para el personaje del jinete sin cabeza, pero eso le deja un agujero muy feo y bastante grande. Intenté editar esa zona lo mejor que pude, pero no quedaba bien. También usé varios pinceles para crear el efecto de fuego, también fallido. Pero como no me rindo fácilmente, seguí intentándolo hasta que conseguí tapar ese agujero con una imagen de fuego en PNG. Así que ya sabéis, si algo se estanca no os desesperéis porque tarde o temprano lograréis dar la con solución.
En cuanto a las figuras que utilicé para hacer al Jinete sin cabeza, el cuerpo y hacha son de de Link (The Legend of Zelda - Breathe of the Wild), la cabeza de Pyro Jack (Shin Megami Tensei) y la capa del Dr. Strange.
