How are you spending summer in the northern hemisphere? As for me I'm taking it very lazily and without wanting to do anything. I don't even feel like going out despite having spent almost three months in lockdown. You already know that I don't like summer and wanting the temperature to low (a lot) to get my energy to the full again. So today I told myself that I have to post on the blog so as not to have it neglected and here I am.
The photos that I'm going to publish today correspond to the months of March and April. There is little left to reach the current date.

Ni tan siquiera me apetece salir de casa a pesar de haber pasado casi tres meses de confinamiento. Ya sabéis que no me gusta el verano y con ganas de que baje (mucho) la temperatura para volver a tener mi energía a tope. Así que hoy me he dicho que tengo que publicar en el blog para no tenerlo abandonado y aquí estoy.

On March 17th was Saint Patrick's Day. We don't celebrate this day in my country, but as on Instagram I have many followers from other countries, I like to photograph themes of special days and incidentally it serves as an excuse to take out the camera.

On March 18th was the the #worldtoypicday and the @toypic_community account had been remembering this day for weeks before and still, I took the photo the same day because I completely forgot it due to I was following another challenge about the lockdown, #cuarentenaconlilipalet. On March 21th is Slytherin Day and according to Wizarding World (formerly Pottermore) I belong to this house. So here's my mini-me with Professor Snape.
The mini-me is wearing the Slytherin uniform, which belongs to Snape. I wanted to put a skirt on it, but Hermione's skirt is loose on this body and I decided to keep the trousers. Anyway I always wear trousers and that would have been my uniform at Hogwarts. The face is from Captain Marvel and the hair is from Winter Soldier. I had to make some colour modifications to the hair with Photoshop. The glasses were added with Photoshop, I couldn't put Conan, Harry or Arale's.

This photo wasn't planned. I was taking a photo of the coffee cup for the #cuarentenaconlilipalet challenge when just before picking up I had the idea to photograph Sebastian inside the cup. The character is a very efficient butler but he didn't expect him to be the element to serve.

With this photo I participated in the @dollyphotochallenge challenge for the month of April, whose theme was blue. I don't usually participate much in the challenges of this account because the winner of the month gets a gift and it's usually clothes or shoes for Blythe or Pullip dolls and you know that I don't have dolls of this type, so I only participate when the gifts are non-dress accessories. My photo was not selected for finalist.

No suelo participar mucho en los retos de esta cuenta porque al ganador o ganadora del mes recibe un regalo y suele ser ropa o zapatos para muñecas Blythe o Pullip y ya sabéis que no tengo muñecas de este tipo, así que solo participo cuando los regalos son accesorios que no sean de vestir. On April 12th was Easter so I took this photo to celebrate it. For this year I didn't have a clear idea of what to photograph and finally this idea came up. Steve is so cute with those bunny ears.

This photograph belongs to the #cuarentenaconlilipalet challenge. The theme to photograph was "shoes" and I wanted to do something original, so I thought about photographing these shoes for BJD. They belong to Danielle (Dollzone Clovera) and I think she has only worn them a couple of times. She was going to be the girl in pink and she ended up telling me she's a Punk. And this is the only photo I have taken this year related to BJD.

You would never guess where I took this picture. I don't know how I come up with ideas and this is one of those that come unexpectedly, I thought about to photograph Iron Man inside a coffee maker. This is one of the reasons why I love to photograph nendoroids, they are so easy to photograph anywhere that with anything you can take very cool photos.

Jamás adivinaríais dónde hice esta fotografía. No sé cómo se me ocurren las ideas y esta es una de esas que vienen de imprevisto, se me ocurrió fotografiar a Iron Man dentro de una cafetera. Este es uno de los motivos por lo que me encanta fotografiar nendoroids, son tan fáciles de fotografiar en cualquier sitio que con cualquier tontería puedes hacer fotos chulísimas.
Tendría que haber hecho una foto del escenario para que vieseis cómo la hice.

With this photograph I participated in the #tpc_olympics contest, held by @toypic_community and in which 14 teams from different countries participated with 8 participants each. There were eight themes to photograph, the same for each team. The themes were on the following sports: running, karate, wrestling, swimming, weightlifting, gymnastics, shooting, and skateboarding. I chose karate.
Every day the photos of all the teams participating in the sport of the day were published on @toypic_community and Instagram users voted for their favourite of the day by giving likes. My team didn't win, in fact, it was quite below in the list even though the photos were very good. You can see the results of the classification here.
It was still fun to participate, I met other photographers and my photo was quite liked. Even a photographer who collaborates with @toypic_community, @mattjessup, mentioned it in a video in which he mentioned his favourite photos of each sport. You can watch the video here.

On April 23th we celebrate Sant Jordi and the day of the book and the rose in Catalonia. This year it hasn't been celebrated in the streets due to the lockdown since we were still in quarantine without being able to leave the house if it wasn't necessary.
I took a lot of photos during those days and that made the lockdown more bearable.

El día 23 de abril celebramos Sant Jordi y el día del libro y la rosa en Cataluña. Este año no se pudo celebrar en las calles por el confinamiento ya que aún estábamos de cuarentena sin poder salir de casa si no era necesario.
Hice bastantes fotos durante esos días y eso hizo más llevadero el encierro.

ResponderEliminarWe are still in stage 4 lock down, so not feeling much like doing anything either. I could really do with some of your summer sun though, it might make me feel like getting out in the garden at least.
You know I always enjoy visiting you, you have so many lovely photos to view, but I often wonder how you know all these special days to celebrate? I mean I know St. Patrick's day, but all the others I wouldn't have a clue about if it wasn't for you. :)
I must say, I really love those Pink Shoes, they are so pretty and definitely not what I ever imagined you would buy . . . now if they were black that would be another matter entirely. LOL!

EliminarThis pandemic is affecting our normal lives everywhere. Here we have some restrictions and I won't be surprised if we're in a new lockdown in the next weeks or months.

Well, many of the dates I found them on Instagram because people celebrate everything 😆 And I found a website where there's a list of special days, so I check it every month to see if there's something special that I could photograph. Hola Lily. Me encantan todas tus fotos, pero especialmente la de Link y la del Capitán America con las orejitas de conejo. Es cierto que nosotros no celebramos San Patricio, pero aquí, desde hace algunos años, muchos pubs si que lo celebran con decoración típica y se llenan hasta los topes. O quizá es sólo aquí porque coincide con las fallas y hay que sacar tajada como sea. Me gustan las fotos temáticas, aunque en realidad nunca he sacado, excepto el año pasado que saqué unas de Navidad bastante simples con una cartulina roja. A ver si este año me pongo las pilas y saco algunas.
ResponderEliminarLa foto de Iron Man sí que puedo ver la cafetera, el muñeco está en la rejilla donde pones la taza. La verdad es que es una idea estupenda, con un poco de imaginación se pueden sacar fotos muy chulas.
A mi tampoco me gusta nada el verano, no se como le pueden llamar a esto "buen tiempo". Si algún día me toca el Euromillon creo que me compraré una casita en Asturias o por ahí para pasarme del 1 de Junio al 30 de Septiembre bien fresquita.

Sí, has adivinado dónde está Iron Man. La imaginación no tiene límites y es divertido jugar de esta forma.
Ya somos dos, para mí esto también es "mal tiempo". si me tocase una buena lotería también me compraría una casita por el norte y pasar los meses de verano por allí para huir del calor extremo, esto de estar sudando todo el día es asqueroso.

I thought Bucky was funny, he looks like he's very reluctantly handing that present over! Also Link (The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask) is a really nice colourful photo. My favourite of all the photos is I think, the one of Jack Sparrow with The Scream, very creative....I wish I had the ideas that you have. Actually I wish I had ideas, full stop! As at the moment I have completely no ideas whatsoever for photographing my dolls, or anything else for that matter. I'm hoping that the urge to play with, sew for and photograph my dolls will come back as the weather cools a bit, at the moment I just cannot be bothered. Or should I say "No tengo gana"!

De todos modos me ha encantado la foto en la que está tu mini yo y Snape, además de que no sabía que eras Slytherin XDDD. Hace mil que no me paso por mi cuenta, y gracias a tu entrada me he animado y voy a volver a pasarme.
Espero que se vaya pronto el calor, aquí ya han bajado un poco las temperaturas. Prefiero el frío mil veces, el calor me pone de mal humor y odio estar sudando todo el santo día...

EliminarSí, se llaman Nendoroid. Son una pasada y puedes intercambiar casi todas las piezas entre ellos, así que se pueden combinar de mil formas diferentes. También suelen venir con accesorios como comida, armas... o incluso caquitas 😂 Ya son casi lo único que fotografío al ser tan manejables.
Sí, soy Slytherin 😆 La verdad que perdí mi primera cuenta, que estaba en esta casa. Me abrí otra y me salió Ravenclaw, pero al cambiar Pottermore a Wizarding World tuve problemas con mi cuenta y me abrí otra nueva, para volver a meterme en Slytherin 😂😂😂 Igual soy un híbrido entre Slytherin y Ravenclaw, son las dos casas con las que más me identifico de todas formas.
A ver si hay suerte y baja ya la temperatura, es asfixiante y no hay quien salga fuera si no es por necesidad. También prefiero el frío mil veces, el calor me deja sin fuerzas y también me pone de mal humor y es asqueroso estar todo el día sudando.
