Today I finally publish the last batch of photos that I haven't published at the proper time, so there will be no more entries for "Random photos". Don't worry, the non-themed photos that I publish on Instagram will be published here the following month so that you can see them.

That said, I end with the photos I took between September and November.

Misophonia Visibility Day · Día de la Visibilidad de la Misofonía

Today is the Misophonia Visibility Day. Perhaps you have never heard of misophonia (also known as Selective Sound Sensitivity Syndrome). This is a neurological disorder in which certain sounds trigger emotional or physiological responses. Reactions to trigger sounds include anger, anxiety, fear, annoyance to activating a fight-orflight response. Common triggers are oral sounds (loud breathing, chewing, coughing, sneezing), clicking sounds (finger/nail tapping, pens), and sounds associated with movement. But there are infinite trigger sounds. In addition, it has no cure and many doctors do not know about it, giving wrong diagnoses. People who suffer from it often discover it by searching their symptoms on the Internet.

Hoy es el Día de la Visibilidad de la Misofonía. Quizás nunca habéis oído hablar de la misofonía, (también conocida como sensibilidad selectiva del sonido). Este es un trastorno neurológico en el que ciertos sonidos desencadenan respuestas emocionales o fisiológicas. Las reacciones a los sonidos desencadenantes incluyen ira, ansiedad, miedo, o molestia al activar una respuesta de lucha o huida. Los desencadenantes comunes son los sonidos orales (respiración fuerte, masticar, toser, estornudar), sonidos de clic (golpeteo de dedos/uñas, bolígrafos) y sonidos asociados con el movimiento. Pero hay infinitos sonidos desencadenantes. Además, no tiene cura y muchos médicos no lo conocen, dando diagnósticos erróneos. Las personas que la padecen suelen descubrirlo buscando sus síntomas en Internet.

Halloween 2020

Happy Halloween! You already know that it's my favorite holiday and I like to photograph my figures with this theme. This year I haven't taken as many photos as I would have liked due to lack of inspiration. I've been quite lazy for a few months now. I show you the photographs and by the way you meet some of my new Nendoroids.

¡Feliz Halloween! Ya sabéis que es mi fiesta favorita y me gusta fotografiar a mis figuras con esta temática. Este año no he hecho tantas fotos como me hubiese gustado por falta de inspiración. Forgive my absence these weeks, my laptop screen was damaged and it was difficult to write and edit photos in those conditions. It's already fixed and I hope it doesn't break again. The truth is that my current laptop has turned out good, it's already 8 years old and it's the only problem it has given me in all this time. My previous one was damaged after 5 years.

That said, I have decided to continue with the delayed photos that I have not yet published on the blog since I have to edit the photos of the next review, which I haven't been able to do. The photos that I am going to publish today correspond to the months of May and June.

Perdonad mi falta de ausencia estas semanas, he tenido la pantalla del ordenador portátil estropeada y era difícil escribir y editar fotos en esas condiciones. Ya está reparado y espero que no se vuelva a estropear. La verdad es que ha salido bueno mi actual portátil, ya tiene 8 años y es el único problema que me ha dado en todo este tiempo. El anterior se rompió a los 5 años.

Dicho esto, he decidido seguir con las fotos atrasadas que aún no he publicado en el blog ya que tengo que editar las fotos de la siguiente reseña, que no he podido hacer. Las fotos que voy a publicar hoy corresponden a los meses de mayo y junio.

How to bath a dog · Cómo bañar a un perro

This is another entry that I should have posted last year and out of sheer laziness I haven't posted it before. It has also taken me time to write it because there is a lot of text because it's not a simple photo shoot.

In May of last year I found a figure from my childhood, Rantamplan, Lucky Luke's dog. As it's of a size compatible with Nendoroids, I came up with a tutorial on how to bath a dog correctly. I took and posted the photos on Instagram last year.

I'm a dog groomer, so all the steps and tips are true of the profession, except that I have simplified it so that they can be done at home.

Esta es otra entrada que debería haber publicado el año pasado y por pura pereza no la he publicado antes. También me ha costado tiempo escribirla porque hay mucho texto porque no se trata de una simple sesión fotográfica.

En mayo del año pasado encontré una figura de mi infancia, a Rantamplan, el perro de Lucky Luke. Como es de tamaño compatible con los Nendoroid se me ocurrió hacer un tutorial de cómo bañar a un perro correctamente. Las fotos las hice y publiqué el año pasado en Instagram.

Soy peluquera canina, así que todos los pasos y consejos son reales de la profesión, salvo que lo he simplificado para que se pueda hacer en casa.

How are you spending summer in the northern hemisphere? As for me I'm taking it very lazily and without wanting to do anything. I don't even feel like going out despite having spent almost three months in lockdown. You already know that I don't like summer and wanting the temperature to low (a lot) to get my energy to the full again. So today I told myself that I have to post on the blog so as not to have it neglected and here I am.

The photos that I'm going to publish today correspond to the months of March and April. There is little left to reach the current date.

¿Cómo estáis pasando el verano en el hemisferio norte? Por mi parte lo estoy llevando con mucha pereza y sin ganas de hacer nada. Ni tan siquiera me apetece salir de casa a pesar de haber pasado casi tres meses de confinamiento. Ya sabéis que no me gusta el verano y con ganas de que baje (mucho) la temperatura para volver a tener mi energía a tope. Así que hoy me he dicho que tengo que publicar en el blog para no tenerlo abandonado y aquí estoy.

Las fotos que voy a publicar hoy corresponden a los meses de marzo y abril. Ya queda poco para llegar a la fecha actual.

New Blogger interface · Nueva interfaz de Blogger

Well, it has came the day when the new Blogger interface has been implemented. I have to say that in general I'm like a chameleon and I tend to get used to the changes quite easily, but I cannot with this new interface because it's a real pain to write in two columns and the spaces between photos and text are larger than before. Now I waste more time than before to write and prepare the posts because I have to check the HTML format so that the columns and images are seen correctly. I show you an image so you can see what happens every time I write paragraphs in two columns.

Pues ya ha llegado el día en el que se ha implementado la nueva interfaz de Blogger. He de decir que en general soy como un camaleón y suelo acostumbrarme bastante fácilmente a los cambios, pero no puedo con esta nueva interfaz porque es un auténtico fastidio para escribir en dos columnas y los espacios entre fotos y texto es más grande que antes. Ahora pierdo más tiempo que antes para escribir y preparar las entradas porque tengo que revisar el formato HTML para que las columnas e imágenes se vean correctamente. Os muestro una imagen para que veáis qué ocurre cada vez que escribo párrafos en dos columnas.

On the 21st was the World Dog Day. I took some photos that I published on Instagram, forgive me for posting them on the blog a few days late, summer exhausts me and I didn't feel like writing on the blog.

For the photos I used a figure and a doll that I hadn't photographed in a long time.

El pasado día 21 fue el Día mundial de Perro. Hice unas fotos que publiqué en Instagram, perdonad que las publique en el blog con unos días de retraso, el verano me agota y no tenía ganas de escribir en el blog.

Para las fotos usé una figura y una muñeca que hacía mucho tiempo que no fotografiaba.

For Christmas time there was a very nice nativity sceen in my town made by the elderly and each year is different. You can see it on my personal blog through this link.

In May last I bought some bathroom furniture for the Lidl dollhouse, from the brand Playtive, so the head started giving me ideas and one was with my bearded Nendoroids. I have Captain America nendo with a beard and I wanted to shave him, but I didn't have a razor for the photos. Solution? To make one. In my previous post I showed you how to make a razor for Nendoroids, that you can see at this link, and today I'm going to show you the photos of the photo shoot.

The result? Below you have the pics, which I took in June 2019.

En mayo año pasado compré unos muebles de baño para casa de muñecas de Lidl, de la marca Playtive, así que la cabeza empezó a darme ideas y una fue con mis Nendoroids barbudos. Tengo el nendo del Capitán América con barba y le quise afeitar, pero no tenía una maquinilla para las fotos. ¿Solución? Hacer una. En mi anterior entrada os mostré cómo hacer una maquinilla de afeitar para Nendoroids, que podéis ver en este enlace, y hoy os voy a mostrar las fotos de la sesión.

¿El resultado? A continuación tenéis la sesión, cuyas fotos hice en junio de 2019.

DIY: Razor blade for Nendoroid · Maquinilla de afeitar para Nendoroid

Last year I had the idea to take some photos and I needed a razor for nendoroids. Since none of my nendos have this accessory, I had to make one. I'm going to show you how I did it, in case you also want to do it.

Materials:
⚫ Flat and round toothpicks
⚫ Aluminum foil
⚫ Acrylic paint
⚫ Brushes
⚫ Fine-grit sandpaper, file or nail file
⚫ Scissors
⚫ White glue or instant glue

Important:
⚫ If you are a minor, supervision of an adult.

Instructions:

1. You need a round toothpick and a flat one. With the round one we will make the handle of the razor and the blade with the plane one.

El año pasado se me ocurrió hacer unas fotos y necesitaba una maquinilla de afeitar para nendoroids. Como ninguno de mis nendos tiene este accesorio, tuve que hacer uno. Os voy a mostrar cómo lo hice, por si vosotros también lo queréis hacer.

Materiales:

Instrucciones:

1. Se necesita un palillo mondadientes redondo y otro plano. Con el redondo haremos el mango de la maquinilla de afeitar y con el plano la cuchilla.

Checking my Instagram I have realized that the photos that I'm going to publish today should have been posted last year, I don't know why, I forgot to publish them on the blog.

On Instagram there is an account, @dollyphotochallenge, in which each month they propose a theme to photograph with dolls and there are two winners, one by vote and the other by draw, who win a gift for their dolls. The truth is that I'm not participating every month, more than anything because the prizes are usually clothes for Blythe and Pullip type dolls and I don't have any of these dolls.

The theme for June 2019 was "Black and White". For the photo I chose my BJD Danielle.

Revisando mi Instagram me he dado cuenta de que las fotos que voy a publicar hoy deberían haber visto la luz el año pasado, no sé porqué, me olvidé de publicarlas en el blog.

En Instagram hay una cuenta, @dollyphotochallenge, en la que cada mes proponen un tema para fotografiar con muñecas y hay dos ganadores, uno por votos y otro por sorteo, que se llevan un regalo para sus muñecas. La verdad es que no estoy participando todos los meses, más que nada porque los premios suelen ser ropa para muñecas tipo Blythe y Pullip y yo no tengo ninguna de estas muñecas.

El tema de junio de 2019 era "Blanco y negro". Para la foto elegí a mi BJD Danielle.

Comparing photos with different cameras (Improved) · Comparando fotos con distintas cámaras (Mejorado)

I have been photographing toys for almost 11 years, 4 since I started with figures and I'm only an amateour photographer in general. I haven't attended any face-to-face course and all I have learned has been through the free (and without practice) "online courses" that were offered when buying my DSLR camera, watching many tutorials and above all, practicing a lot. I want to make all of this clear because I don't want there to be any confusion.

Many people fall into the error that if the camera is good, the photos will also be and it's not. I also fell into that mistake when I started taking photography more seriously when my first BJD arrived in 2009. Different cameras have passed through my hands and from experience I can tell you that with a simple camera you can take great photos if you know how to use it. The only difference you will find between a cheap camera and an expensive one will be in terms of noise and other details that a non-expert eye will not notice.

Two years ago I wrote a post in which I took the same photo taken with different cameras. When I re-read the entry, I realized that I didn't give enough details due to lack of knowledge in photography and I could have done it better, so as it's wise to rectify, I have taken another photo with different cameras. This time I will give many more details.

I will first introduce the cameras that I have used along with their most important features.

Llevo casi 11 años fotografiando juguetes, empecé con las figuras hace 4 y solo soy una aficionada a la fotografía en general. No he asistido a ningún curso presencial y todo lo que he he aprendido ha sido a través de los "cursos online" gratuitos (y sin prácticas) que se ofrecían al comprar mi cámara réflex, mirar muchos tutoriales y sobre todo, practicar mucho. Quiero dejar claro todo esto porque no quiero que hayan confusiones.

Mucha gente cae en el error de que si la cámara es buena, las fotos también lo serán y no es así. Yo también caí en es ese error cuando empecé a tomarme más en serio la fotografía cuando llegó mi primera BJD en 2009. Por mis manos han pasado distintas cámaras y por experiencia os puedo decir que con una cámara sencilla se pueden hacer grandes fotos si sabes cómo utilizarla. La única diferencia que encontraréis entre una cámara barata y otra cara será a nivel de ruido y otros detalles que un ojo no experto no va a notar.

Hace dos años escribí una entrada en la que hice la misma foto hecha con distintas cámaras de fotos. Cuando volví a leer la entrada, me di cuenta que no di los suficientes detalles por falta de conocimiento en fotografía y podría haberlo hecho mejor, así que como rectificar es de sabios, he vuelto a hacer otra foto con distintas cámaras. En esta ocasión voy a dar muchos más detalles.

Primero haré una introducción de las cámaras que he utilizado junto con sus características más importantes.

A few days ago I took some photos of my Ariel Nendoroid. It has been a long time since I photographed her and so I did something for the "Mermay", the month dedicated to mermaids, although in reality the "Mermay" is for drawing mermaids throughout the month of May and that makes me very lazy 😆

Hace unos días hice unas fotos de mi Nendoroid de Ariel. Ya hacía tiempo que no le fotografiaba y así hacía algo para el "Mermay", el mes dedicado a las sirenas, aunque a en realidad el "Mermay" es para dibujar sirenas durante todo el mes de mayo y eso me da mucha pereza 😆

On March 14 the state of alarm was decreed in Spain, although I self-confined on the 13th. During the following 50 days, the days of total confinement, I took several photos of my Nendoroids with the theme of the Covid-19.

El 14 de marzo se decretó el estado de alarma en España, aunque yo me confiné el día 13. Durante los 50 días siguientes, los días que duró el confinamiento total, hice varias fotos de mis Nendoroids con el tema del Covid-19.

Toy photography is not easy · La fotografía de juguetes no es fácil

Many times I have read complaints from toy photographers who have been told that this type of photography is easy or that we who take photos indoors are lazy. If you don't take photographs of your dolls and figures, I don't know if you have ever wondered how long it takes to prepare, take one or more photographs if it is a photo shoot and then edit them. Well, that's what I'm going to talk about today.

The following photograph was taken in July 2019. At first glance it's quite simple and doesn't seem to have much of a complication.

Muchas veces he leído quejas de fotógrafos de juguetes a los que les han dicho que este tipo de fotografía es fácil o que los que hacemos fotos en interiores somos unos vagos. Si no hacéis fotografías a vuestras muñecas y figuras, no sé si alguna vez os habéis preguntado cuánto tiempo se tarda en preparar, tomar una o varias fotografías si es una sesión y después editarlas. Pues de eso voy a hablar hoy.

La siguiente fotografía la hice en julio de 2019. A simple vista es bastante sencilla y no parece tener mucha complicación.

Review · Reseña: Nendoroid #866 - Loki "Battle Royale Edition" (Thor Ragnarok) + Extension set

Despite the Covid-19 quarantine, I have left the blog forgotten, which I regret. Although I hardly have active readers, I have many photos and reviews that I want to show you, so today I am encouraged to publish this review. After a month without publishing reviews, today I get the energy to publish this one of the Nendoroid #866 - Loki "Battle Royale Edition", from the movie 'Thor Ragnarok'. The movie in Japan is known as 'Battle Royale'. He arrived on August 9, 2018 with his brother Thor. Loki is one of my favourite Marvel characters.

A pesar de la cuarentena por el Covid-19, he dejado el blog olvidado, cosa que lamento. Aunque apenas tengo lectores activos, tengo muchísimas fotos y reseñas que os quiero mostrar, así que hoy me animo para publicar esta reseña  del Nendoroid #866 - Loki "Battle Royale Edition", de la película 'Thor Ragnarok'. La película en Japón es conocida como 'Battle Royale'. Llegó el 9 de agosto de 2018 junto a su hermano Thor. Loki es uno de mis personajes favoritos de Marvel.

International Women's Day 2020

On March 8 was the International Women's Day. Like I always say, this day nothing is celebrated, we must commemorate it and continue with the struggle for equality so that the violence and inequality that women suffer will disappear someday.

Many of them are having a very hard life because they live in countries with very macho customs and those of us who live in more developed countries, we have to put up with inequality in the wage for work, being catcalled in the street or afraid of going alone at night and without knowing if you are going to get home among other problems. For all this and more, we must continue fighting until one day it's not necessary to go out to protest because there will no longer be differences between men and women.

As every year, I took a couple photos to commemorate that day.

El 8 de marzo fue Día Internacional de la Mujer. Como siempre digo, este día no se celebra nada, hay que conmemorarlo y seguir con la lucha por la igualdad para que desaparezca la violencia machista y la desigualdad de la que sufrimos las mujeres.

Muchas lo están pasando muy mal por vivir en países con costumbres muy machistas y las que vivimos en países digamos, desarrollados, tenemos que aguantar la desigualdad en el salario laboral, que te piropeen por la calle o con el miedo de ir sola de noche y sin saber si vas a llegar a casa entre otros problemas. Por todo esto y más, hay que seguir luchando hasta que un día no sea necesario salir a la calle a protestar porque ya no habrá diferencias entre hombres y mujeres.

Como cada año, he hecho un par de fotos para conmemorar ese día.

Snowy winter · Invierno nevado

It doesn't usually snow in Barcelona, not in the coastal area. The last time we have a settle snowfall in my city was on March 8, 2010, so to photograph my figures in the snow I have to manage artificially and that's what I did with the sisters Anna and Elsa and the snowmen Olaf and Jack Frost.

I took these photos last year and I didn't publish them on the blog because I forgot to post them on time and it didn't make sense to do it in spring. So since it's still winter despite the fact that the heat we have is not normal, today I finally publish these photographs.

En Barcelona no suele nevar, no en la zona de la costa. La última vez que cayó una nevada que cuajase en mi ciudad fue el 8 de marzo de 2010, así que para fotografiar a mis figuras en la nieve me las tengo que apañar de forma artificial y eso hice con las hermanas Anna y Elsa y los muñecos de nieve Olaf y Jack Frost.

Estas fotos las hice el año pasado y no las llegué a publicar en el blog porque se me olvidó publicarlas a tiempo y ya no tenía sentido hacerlo en primavera. Así que como aún es invierno a pesar de que haga un calor que no es normal, hoy por fin publico estas fotografías.

I haven't published any reviews since September of last year and I'm more than a year late with reviews. I will have to organize the publications schedule in order to update the reviews.

On August 9, 2018 arrived two Marvel Nendoroids, Thor and Loki.

No publico ninguna reseña desde septiembre del año pasado y ya llevo más de un año de retraso con las reseñas. Voy a tener que organizar un poco la agenda de publicaciones hasta conseguir poner las reseñas al día.

Look if I have a delay elay for posting photos to the blog that in January 2020 I publish the photos of the beginning of 2019 and the worst thing is that I thought I had published the post in December and it was not like that 😅 As you know, on Instagram I do upload the photos on their date.

Mirad si llevo retraso de fotos por publicar en el blog que en enero de 2020 publico las fotos de principios del 2019 y lo peor es que pensé que había publicado la entrada en diciembre y no fue así 😅 Como ya sabéis, en Instagram sí subo las fotos en su fecha.
